Using the animar, create an insanely huge creature and cheaply play a huge hydra for 2 or so mana when needed + surrak can be swapped for a couple of azusas to give them trample and uncounterability

very nice. I actually have a Animar EDH Deck so I can relate to you. It is sooooo much fun to play a free blightsteel colossus, Kozilek, and Ulamog all in the same turn. I do think that you may need a few more lands to get the maximum value out of azusa but overall it looks great. Nice job man.
