Deck Description

What a strange deck to make around the time of Dragon's Maze. Oh Well, might as well play them before they out date near around October. Anyway guys, nothing from Dragon's Maze here, just doing something classic here for today's deck. I found Vampires to actually have some sort of power that I would like to use if ever the time.

How to Play

Oh finally I put the deck description here this time.

What this deck does is set-up on the opponent and go attack for the final blow. It's sort of like a Vampire Midrange, but I want it to have more defense than offense, which is one reason why Falkenrath Aristocrat isn't in this deck, because A. It's to expensive for me and B. It doesn't seem that good without any humans in the deck, and I want this deck made a little more defensive so it faces today's meta game which are aggro decks, especially our beloved blitz decks. So you set up with Vampires that give pumping to each other and thewn go for game. There you go. Please rate and comment and please tell me what you think of this idea I have here!

Deck discussion for Blood-F**king Vampires

Gravepurge is trash add better removal instead. and mulch and grisly salvage and Boros charm and Vault are white why splash for two cards? What are you trying to do cause it's a really bad idea. Sorry but it's really bad your running 4 ofs of things that shouldn't be 4 ofs of and your running the straight up worst vampire in standard Vampire Nocturnus. I'll explain why this card is bad. it is called consistency and this card massively lacks that. My advice for you go black/Red Aggro tempo keep up the beats and splash in removal and burn, Dreadbore kicks ass use that. You apparently don't understand competitive magic the expensive decks are for people without skill those who can take a cheaper deck run with it and win are great players you seem to me like the kind of player who can do that but your just not seeing the ability your deck could have instead you looking at each card separately look at all the cards working together.

Well I'm just trying something new and making one card useful. I personally don't think Gravepurge is trash. What makes that decently good fixes the problem of Vampire Nocturnus's consistency since you said it was so bad anyway(which BTW cannot be the single worst vampire in standard, have you looked at the common vampires?). Maybe part of your comment is right about splashing the white in here as well but that was also for the Vault of the archangel. Maybe I should add more removal and burn and hopefully I'll do fine. I'll have you know I did run Esper Control decks that won me 1st and 4th place at 2 local tournaments, and the deck does have a lot of good, expensive cards (yes I did say I didn't want Falkenrath in the deck because it's to expensive and after affording all the cards for Esper Control, I can't really get a playset of them that easily). So yeah, this might be a shitty deck but I was just trying something new for vampires. But I will take the advice for the Boros Charm, I'll take that out and remake the deck soon, but not now. Again, just trying something new.

Nocturnous is far from consistent and you would need Dimir Charm or Index (which is bad) to manipulate his ability. Otherwise the moment you need him the top of your deck is a land and nobody wants that awkward moment to happen.

I see. Well I'm working on another deck idea anyway so yeah. I've learned that Vampires shouldn't be combo-based. Good call.

I'm worried that this deck would have difficulty versus fast aggressive ones. That being said I really like vampires and I found this deck original and cool.
