consider an all red deck (side board the green) and use spark elemental and lightning serpent instead of the green creatures and add in a couple of brute force and fatal frenzy to round out your deck to 60 cards

You could run dual lands to help your mana base, Other little tricks are cool too, like Aluren. Taiga, Stomping Grounds, Karplusan Forest, and other two mana lands might help ease your mana woes.
Definetly try for 60 cards. If Red-Green add Fires of Yavimaya.
