Deck Description

Yes, I made another sliver deck.

The last one was called "Quick Slivers". It was a fast paced sliver deck that would get a good amount of slivers on the board in the first couple of turns.

This time I came up with a deck that let you play slivers for free (Aluren) and lets you draw insane amounts of cards (Dormant Sliver / Glimpse of Nature) to the point where you just have to stop casting slivers because you will mill yourself to death.

One of the ideal situations (there a couple of them ofc):

Turn 1: Land
Turn 2: Land, heart sliver
Turn 3: Land, gemhide, crystalline
Turn 4: Land, Aluren, play a sliver for free, dormant sliver or first play Aluren, then glimpse of nature and then start casting free slivers and drawing. Then cast another dormant or glimpse to speed up this process.

Then use necrotic sliver to sacrifice the dormant slivers, kill any annoying cards like propaganda or other creature hate, and then attack.

Lemme know what you think of this deck.

Deck discussion for Sliver Invasion

Okay I'll be honest. I think your Quick Sliver deck is much better than this one. First of all Dormant Sliver gives all your creatures Defender. How are you going to attack? Second, Aluren works both ways and if you're playing an Elf or Faerie deck you may even find that you accelerate the other deck more than your own. Finally you're gonna have to be really carefull with Winged Sliver becuase even with Crystalline Sliver your creatures will be vaunerable to cards like Windstorm and Hurricane. I mean don't get me wrong, I like the concept of this deck, but I think there are more weaknesses here than in Quick Slivers and I really don't see how you intend to do damage when all your Slivers have Defender.

Hehe if you had read the description you would have known. ;) I'll get necrotic sliver, sacrifice Dormant sliver and then attack. The point is that in a worst case scenario I can play my whole deck in turn 6 or 7. I can even wait with casting dormant sliver if I do not have necrotic sliver and don't want to take the risk and use glimpse of nature instead. Also, in an even worse scenario I would at least have about 12+ slivers with defender that are 13/13+ with flying etc. Good luck to the opponent to defeat me. Though the chance that I get necrotic sliver in the first 6 turns is pretty big considering the shear amount of card draw.

I understand your criticism, not the first time I heard this, but believe me it works really well. Even if I don't get aluren I probably will have gemhide sliver with heart sliver which will have a similar effect with dormant sliver. Not as devastating, but definitely hard to stop :)

So I'm thinking of building a sliver deck. Which of those two decks do you find works better?

It depends on what kind of game you like. I think the Quick Slivers deck will be more consistent. You'll always have a good flow of slivers. So you could say it's more creature based.
This sliver deck is more combo based. If you get the combo it's as good as over since you have about 15+ slivers on the board with which you can attack immediately. Unless your opponent has something to prevent the damage, you'll probably win. I think this deck will be kinda fun in multiplayer though.

Hard to say which is better. I haven't tested this deck that much yet. Te quick sliverdeck is faster in the first few rounds, but after that, this deck will just run straight over it. If your avarage games last about 10+ rounds, I'd go with the quicksliver deck. It's probably a bit more fun to play.

Sweet thanks man. I played around with your Quick Sliver deck a bit. Would you mind taking a look and telling me what you think?
