Deck Description

First time deck build. I was originally inspired by Sanguine Bond. Setting out to build a black and white deck, I liked the idea of utilizing black creatures to drain the life of opponents while bolstering my own with Sanguine bond, and then stacking counters on white creatures which became more powerful as I earned new life. I quickly found that finding an efficient ratio of these types of cards while trying to maintain both black and white magic types became somewhat tricky. I decided to simplify and use a combination of white creatures, with reasonably low mana cost, flying, life link, and first strike. There are also some low cost creatures in there acting as pawns to help create a line of defense in the event that ideal cards can't be reached for several turns. These types of creatures, along with a number of assorted enchants allow for swift attacking and life regeneration and synergy among the deck as many play off of one another. The concept and play out still seems a bit shaky as the deck is 20 cards higher than the ideal set up. I also feel there many be a few too many higher mana cost creatures in the mix. At any rate, its been fun using the site and learning new builds and strategies.

How to Play

The design of the deck is centered around life gain. Life gain not only prolongs the player's life, but also bolsters the many of the creatures on the battlefield utilizing some creature abilities coupled with enchants to stack counters and build up creature power and toughness. A variety of low cost creatures with flying and first strike provide a buffer while mana is accumulated and life is gained through life link and enchants. This paves the way for mid to high cost creatures with high power heavy hitting abilities and game ending potential. The deck is designed to build a players life and ability to attack exponentially every turn. The idea is that life gain and creature counters will become too overwhelming to deal with. This will hopefully cause an opponent to split his or her attention to these two issues, thus allowing the deck to "divide and conquer.'
