Ultimately, you need some major draw spells. You will empty your hand very quickly. I would recommend Stroke of Genius.
Or...Skullclamp, think it is banned. It would be a very good card in this deck. Speed the deck up.
He has eight lands, none of which produce blue mana. He can't cast stroke stroke of genius for anything. He can't barely pay for the equip cost of spidersilk net. Now if he added springleaf drum...
He did have 8 Islands, he changed them.
A few cards from the olden days come to mind. I use them. Some might be pricey though. but hey. Berserk, Wheel of Fortune, and maybe some fancy land cards. Pendelhaven, Hammerheim, Sol ring and maybe Urzas Mine, tower, and power plant. I do like this deck. I always liked the kobolds. But my hand was always empty. I am certain that by now there are some new awesome cards that can help with this. Good luck.

Signal pest, paradise mantle and some sort of draw/search. like worldly tutor maybe since you already have some green so you always get your signal pest. I always have liked the zero cost decks
