Deck Description

So this isn't a Tournament quality deck, or even a consistent deck. BUT this is the first deck that has a possible turn 1 win in the current standard.

Here's how it works:

You need one hell of an opener, but again this is just to state that the turn 1 win is possible.

Chancellor of the Forge
Chancellor of the Tangle
Chancellor of the Tangle
Groundswell
Groundswell
Swamp
Tainted Strike

OR

Chancellor of the Forge
Chancellor of the Tangle
Groundswell
Mutagenic Growth
Mutagenic Growth
Swamp
Tainted Strike

OR

Chancellor of the Forge
Mutagenic Growth
Mutagenic Growthl
Mutagenic Growth
Mutagenic Growth
Swamp
Tainted Strike

So yeah, you need 7 cards, and yeah there's only three possible hands to let you win... but it IS possible.

In a nutshell, you use the Free hasted goblin from Chancellor of the Forge, pump it with freebie spells from either Mutagenic Growth, or the Chancellor of the Tangle + Groundswell combo(Dropping your swamp first of course), and then tainted striking to make the Goblin a 10 power infecter.

The rest of the deck is a standard take on the pump-infect-ftw deck combos, dragon and souleater for their firebreathing and glistener elf to be a fall back.

And there you have it, the Turn 1 kill!

Deck discussion for Standard Turn 1 WIN

Yeah it works. You need to win the lottery three times to be lucky enough to draw the correct opener, but I built the deck to prove its possible...

Well its definately more for casual play with friends, I'm just trying to think of more to add aside from the initial turn one combo cards, to give me a shot to still win.

Well It's going to be a casual deck regardless of what you do, due to to many dead cards when you don't get the combo, but you could add the turn 2 kill combo.
T1: Forest, Glistener Elf
T2: Mountain, Assault strobe, Groundswell OR Mutagenic Growth x2
OR
T2: Forest, lethal combination of Groundswell, Giant growth, And Mutagenic Growth

you'd have to have god's luck on your side to pull one of the combo's but very nice.

I like this, it's very cool. I can't think of anything to change. Besides the turn one kill I think you would have to add some control.

Hey, awesome job rigging up a Turn 1 win in Standard. Even if it's rarely achieved, just demonstrating that it's possible is an accomplishment. Well done!

since there is red and if your opponent goes first and gets a blocker or something like that well fling with a infect creature deals infect

Fling does not do damage in the form of poison or infect. the cost of casting Fling is to sacrafice a creature and the creatures power is how much damage is done. the card says nothing about giving it infect if the creature you sac has it.

sorry but that combo doesn't work.

Might still be worth it for the attack with immolating soul eater, pay 18 life to pump to 10, fling combo.

Cool concept. Would be a lot of fun if you managed to draw that perfect hand.

Awesome, It takes a bit of luck but what the heck, it's still very fast. Check out my deck that I have in real life, and I can assure you it often wins the first 3 turns!

I really like this deck. Unfortunately it requires you sell your soul for the turn one win. But even so it looks like a very fun deck!

if I'm going to sell my soul for the one turn win I had better pull that one turn win every time I play no matter how many cards are in the deck. :) LOL

Immolating Souleater
Tainted Strike
Chancellor of the Tangle
Chancellor of the Tangle
Swamp
Forest
Mutagenic Growth

thats second turn win for ya good deck idea just not consistant enough to get the first turn hit and to top it you would have to go first for the combo to work

just fyi theres 60! ways for your main hand to open, you have 3 possible 1turn win situations, 4 copies of each card... i think it comes out to something like 1/10219032 chance to get what you need... and as much as i love 1st turn decks, they kinda gotta work the way you want them to ><
ive seen a turn0 hulk flash deck with a 1/10 chance but nothing better. keep at it!

The chances of drawing the Strikes are pretty low.

ok way to much swmaps for 8 cards that need swamps and take out four marsh flats for mountains they up you dragon souleater and chancellor of the forge has a chance of being played

this deck makes no sense. there's a tiny chance of drawing the 1 turn win. and if you don't there's kinda no chance of winning.

I made a Fast Budget Legacy Infect Deck, It goes off around turn 3 pretty consistently, is fun to play:

Its a fun idea and it works, on paper but i drew at least 50 hands and never once got a turn one win, and it doesn't have the right synergy to play out to a turn 2 or even turn 3 win.

0

as for a turn 2 win thats easy to do...
Opening hand:
Mountain
Forest
Glistner Elf
Groundswell
Assault Strobe
Pretty simple Turn 1 drop a forest, drop the elf end, turn 2 drop a mountain and an assault strobe attack, then give it +4/+4 with a groundswell thats 10 infect total if its left unblocked, shot, etc...

other than the one turn win, no offense, it's horrible. you needed to add more creatures and more creative fillers. it has no base and without the one turn win you almost always lose.

Other than the Turn 1 win, the reason I made this deck was to prove a standard turn 1 was possible, I didn't say it was going to win tourneys, or even say that it was a consistant deck, thanks for reading my description...

Everyone who complains this is highly improbable obviously missed the point. It's possible, and i for one know that if you hit me with this on turn 1 in a standard tournament i might quit magic for a year and sit in solitude and watch the "it's not your fault" scene from Good WIll Hunting until i felt better
