Deck Description

I saw Sutured Ghoul, had some combo ideas, and made this deck.

How to Play

Okay, for the ideal 26/26 on turn 2, you need a hand of at least 5 cards:
-Buried Alive
-Exhume
-Dark Ritual
-Swamp x 2

Turn 1: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Buried Alive to put Sutured Ghoul and two Krosan Cloudscrapers into the graveyard.
Turn 2: Swamp, Exhume the Sutured Ghoul onto the battlefield and exile both Cloudscrapers for a 26/26 with trample.

This combo is still fast without the Dark Ritual, but it will take another two turns to pull off.

Suggestions for swaps/additions are very much appreciated!

Edit: swapped Worldspine Wurm for Jokulmorder

Sideboard has cards that would function better but are too expensive for me.

Deck discussion for Turn 2 26/26 With Trample

Sadly, your combo doesn't work due to Worldspine Wurm's ability that reads; "When Worldspine Wurm is put into a graveyard from anywhere, shuffle it into its owner's library." So it can't stick around for Sutured Ghoul to exile.

It won't be hard to find another 15/15 eldrazi though...

Tentacruel also shuffles himself back

While not 15/15's, Krosan Cloudscraper and Death's Shadow are 13/13's that don't shuffle themselves back.

Yep DedWards is correct, your combo doesn't work. DedWard has also given the best substitute available. Which makes me wonder why I'm still typing anything here since he's stated what I've came here to write. Cio :)

I don't know why I didn't realize Worldspine's ability; I even have the card myself. Thanks for pointing that out, though. Is there anything I should add to make grabbing Exhume and Buried Alive (and Dark Ritual) easier?

Is it a casual vintage or legacy?

1 Demonic Tutor, 1 Vampiric Tutor, 4x Entomb, 4x Thoughtsieze, 4x duress that would put you to 22 lands which would be fine IMO. If it's suppose to be Legacy leave the tutors out they're banned.

I would be playing this in casual. I don't want to devote much to discard, but I think a few Thoughtseize wouldn't hurt, to deter counterspells.

It's not really about the discard, it's about taking away your opponents options to disrupt you only win condition. 36 swamps is way to much and there isn't a more efficient way of controlling your opponent in mono black other then Duress and Thoughtsieze. IMO that is. 4x Go for the Throat couldn't hurt either. 20-22 Swamps is all you need. The tutors are extremely powerful even broken some would say.
Again all this is my opinions and should be taken for that.
Happy Casting! :)

I threw in some Kozilek's Inquisition and Duress, and some Dimir Machinations to transmute into Buried Alive (Thoughtseize, the tutors, and Entomb are all a bit out of my price range). Go for the Throat is also a great kill card. Thanks for the suggestions!

I just realized Kozilek's Inquisition is also expensive. I also didn't see the price of Death's Shadow and I think I will swap him for Jokulmorder.

It does happen to be a pay to play power game. However it's still possible to make effective decks on a budget.
