Mah ladyfriend wanted me to teach her magic, and shes discovered she really likes the pinger cards. This is the result and i plan on maing it for her first deck :D Gorgon Flails would be basilisk collars but i dont have the money.

Ok, just my thoughts on this deck: 1) 16 Mountains is not enough, no matter how cheap the cards are, 16/60 are not good enough odds. 2) Lightning Bolts?? 3) To expand on this, this is a red deck with no instants or sorcery, it doesn't matter what you think about it, mono red decks must be packed full of burn instant and sorceries. 4) Think about a Fire Servant, it's a quest for the pure flame in permanant form. 5) Where is the constant damage coming from because as soon as the cheap creatures die, you have nothing left to win with 6)If she really wants a good red deck, that's fun to play with and does consistent damage, buy her one of these: http://www.gameslore.com/acatalog/Games_MTG_Special_Sets_35.html

I am in agreement with Ryu on his points. When my wife first started she love red, it most be a chick thing, but now she plays mono black vat control. A great litte burnner deck the is pretty fun to play with and its a budget deck is gocubsgo's $26 Standard Burn Deck, http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=85551, if you are just playing at home and maybe a FNM it works very well. The great thing about red burn decks is that they can be cheap and fairly fast.
point number three is a bit silly my friend. Mono red decks dont have to have instants or sorceries, it IS about what she and i think. And she didnt actually want any instants or sorceries, she was having difficulty comprehending them and targeting and such, so when she saw the pyromancer she was having fun pinging away all my creatures. She wanted a deck of just them. 16 lands is only because i have difficulty taking out things at the moment, ide probably take out the prodigal but thats what made her want the deck.
I agree my friend it ultimately comes down to what she wants to do with it, as with all decks it pilots choice.
