Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

Okay, I guess I didn't make this deck attractive enough when I first posted it... cause its really cool. First get one kiln fiend in play, use distortion strike, assault strobe, any any other instant or sorcery that only cost 1 to play and you will pump kiln fiend into a 11/2 double strike, unublockable for the win right there. Most of you are probably going to reply,"no, double strike only works in combat with a creature." you are wrong. By definition double strike just works both combats first, and normal and since a creature is in combat with you, it hits twice. That is on a good hand though, on a less favorable one... just hold your opponent off with burns and other stuff until you get a creature and some ublockable. If you need it there are some counterspells and serum visions to help you move along.
(No, I am not sure if it is Tournament Quality.)

You could at least give a complement or some kind of advice. Instead of just asking him to look at your deck.

have you considered past in flames? it would be great if you got a slow start on the game.

Too costly, it needs 4 mana just to use it and then to pay for the flash backs. It would be good in a long match if it goes on for 6 turns or so cause my land count is low but it would only make things more difficult early in the match. As is I am not fully committed to stagger shock cause it cost 3 but it will play itself the turn after and will burn stuff. Could be good if I have a great set up and I aim for 2 land in my hand so that I draw the third, but 4 is just going to take too long, cause I need 4+ for anything I want to play... or even more for its own flash back cost.

You know what else would be cool but kinda hard to pull off?
Splashing to black and adding virulent swipe. Classy.

I like that idea a lot... I might. I'll have to see how everything plays out more.

And while we are on the black subject, Tainted Strike is an alternative way to win if you can't manage to pull off the 20 damage.

Technically you would only need ten...seeing as he starts at one and gets +7/+0 for playing the unblockable and tainted strike. So he would be a 8/2 unblockable infect. if you play so much as any other card he would kill. I just think I should keep it at two colors or else mana might become a issue. Using so many single costs just makes mana more crucial.

I agree, 3 colors are way too many to manage, especially in a fast deck like yours.
That would be quite cool anyways :D
Again, congrats for the awesome deck and for the almost front page.

Yay for another kiln fiend deck haha, kiln fiend is just amazing. but i would recommend some mana spells to speed it up, pyretic ritual, seething song, ect... nice splash of blue to with unblockables and the wee dragonauts.

If you want any more ideas for your deck, check out my version of a kiln fiend deck. Mine actually has a turn 1 win combo in it =]

I might add some mana spells, it seems like a good idea but I am trying to keep my creature to spell ratio within reasonable limits.

Go three colors U/R/B and introduce all mana producing sorcey/instant spells then you could pull off a turn 1/2 win depending on if you have the spells to give haste.

I like the haste idea so I added crimson wisps cause it lets me draw too.

I like the idea, but he seems like he would only slow me down when looking and fending off my opponent. I could sub him in for gelectrode, but I think he would just work well when defending.
