Deck Description

Ughh. Another attempt at legacy to be able to beat the majority of decks reliably as well as my friend's goblin deck I made em. 1'st attempt cost too much. :(

Sideboard is just options I'm thinking of. Suggestions are appreciated.

Edit:

Okay, so here I am... a black and red magic player of which thinks of life gain the least among most anyone I know making such a deck. :D Oh well so breakdown: I've now taken out Volcanic fallout as it will kill many of my people as of now, the liege as most my people are pure white, Valakut as... it simply didn't work, Divinity of pride as it was difficult to cast reliably, and Urabrask as the aggro side of the deck went down significantly. Also took out the chromatic lanturn as I won't need mana fixing nor ramping.

I've now added, more wardens and attendants of the soul, Serra ascendents as a means of beatdown, auriok champion for more gain, more sun titans as they bring back every card but linvala and himself, a couple divine deflections as it goes with the life gain/aggro theme of the deck and should work. (Will test this) Oh, and more figure of destinies as another means of beatdown.

I wanted to keep the mana count to the way it is due to the fact that I can spend it on divine deflection, titans, and figure of destinies as I come across them even though the rest of the deck is so cheap. It obviously helps with consistent starting mana. Lastly, Suture priest seems to be killing it. Must be the group I play in but it always get's at least 5-6 damage minimum before someone realizes yes, I have to use a spell on it or it will kill me.

Deck discussion for New legacy

Yay! It works. It was able to beat the goblins 2 out of 4 times. I'll be seeing how much it works against other decks now.

It won't work as well sorry lol
Valakut only 1 deck wants valakut and that's a deck with scapeshift no other deck wants it at all it's too slow inconsistent and conflicts with itself also it comes in tapped which for you is terrible
Unless you hit a latern divinity of pride is uncastable that or you have to have a really expensive land base
The core of this deck should
4x soul warden
4x souls attendant
4x Serra ascendent
4x auriok champion (I know you said you didn't want to win with hate but this card isn't hate it's just that good)
Urabrask is just bad here I've wanted him to work somewhere an he's close but never quite there
Volcanic fallout in the main doesn't seem good in the general match up because you'll just not kill a tamorgoyf I'd run path to exile/ swords to plow
Actually just invest in those cards they're like 5 dollars but you'll use them all the time
I actually dig Lin vala in the main but not really suture priest (auriok champion is just better) also maybe use chalice of life as a win con

XD Thanks. After running more tests I found the divinity of pride becoming uncastable. As for Valakut, it hasn't hindered me yet though, I also haven't been able to use it either. Close... but I won before it was of use.
Anyways, yeah, I have the deck on another site where I've hashed out some of the problems though with some of these suggestions, I'm sure with more testing I'll be needing to reiterate the deck on both ends as I haven't done anything to this side yet. :)
Now, I haven't actually even known about auriok champion but i just checked it out and really like it. Seems like I'll have some work to do... and more testing to do. See what I come up with. Oh, and again... thanks.

I was thinking of em when I had my Balefire Lieges and there was more red in play but now every creature but figure of destiny is white and the negative counters could potentially be too slow to remove les I hit a specific card. But thanks.

Hmm... I haven't had a chance yet to test out the way it is now so I can't say for sure but you're the first to say divine deflection sucks. It's great for when the opponent wants to kill you turn 5 and and you end up preventing 4 of it and dealing 4 at the same time. A difference of 8 if the kill shot is on turn 5 which with the life gain, should be quite later which only increases the damage prevented and dealt as mana accumulates. But... I am more than happy to try out both this scenario as well as with Ajani here. In fact, Ajani should even combo rather well with a divine deflection being the big target he'd be. Regardless, until I run some tests, I won't know for sure but I'll update the deck as I see fit once I do.

Thanks for even more advice. :) You've been helping out a lot.

The problem with divine deflection is mana open you won't normally have 5 mana open on turn 5

will now be doing multiple tests with Ajani.

This is very similar to the soul sisters deck, they run
Ajani's Pridemate
Martyr of Sands
Mother of Runes
Ranger of Eos
Stoneforge Mystic
Swords to Plowshares
Proclamation of Rebirth
Sword of Light and Shadow
Batterskull
Umezawa's Jitte
Spectral Procession

Looks like a very fun deck the way it is but you may get some ideals from those cards too.

Good luck with the deck!
