This deck is surprising, because it sometimes overperforms having a great range of answers to many threats. It has a good resilience to global removal in the form of lingering souls and rootborn defenses, great answers to control in the form of duress and mind rot and good creature control with oblivion ring and murder. This is a budget list of course, but I find it does very well against a wide range of decks. Hope you enjoy trying this out.

Looks like a really nice budget deck. One of my favorite cards with Tormented Soul is Dark Favor. Ever consider it for this deck or do you find you get enough exalted to pump him?

Well i did think about auras, but the think is that i don't like the risk of getting 2 for 1, i did consider mark of the vampire for the lifelink, but dark favor could probably be tested
