Thank you very much for your advise, and I appreciate any card suggestions that you have to offer, I will just be working with what I have and what I can find, but even just by looking up the cards I can slowly get an idea of what my deck could look like.

As to the evoke idea, while I like your suggestion, the whole point of the echo and life line combo is that it continues to reoccure every single turn, so each turn i get to deal 2 damage with ghitu slinger, or destroy a land with avalanche rider, or add 4 1/1 tokens to play with deranged hermit. while doing an effect once or twice like I could with evoke cards is nice, and they are less stable and dependent on lifeline to hold up as a deck, the beauty comes from the overwhelming and constant power once lifeline comes into play with even just two or these creatures echoing in and out of life each turn.

I am still looking for cards or ways to change this deck and either get lifeline out earlier or to find some other advantage as well, but I really do appreciate you taking the time to offer some advice to a novice of magic, and I will continue to have your points in mind when I modify it.

I just read through your post and looked at the cards and really like how well done this deck seems to be. Also, as a player who hasn't actually played the game too much, I really appreciated all of the info at the top. I am just curious as to why deprive and not counter-spell which does the same except with out the land removal.

Anyways, I really liked how you were able to have a few creatures in there for defense purposes and yet keep it a burn/control deck.

Best of luck at your next tournament, and if you get any time I would really appreciate it if you would check out one of my decks.

This is the first eldrazi deck i've seen as I am newer to Magic and the cards I have are mostly older, but I like the set up!

My one issue, is how quickly you will be able to get started, I can see a burn deck or an elf deck annihilating you before you could get any of your big guys out.

I would suggest possibly a few smaller creatures that can also add to your mana pool, so you have something to defend with as well, or maybe Æther Flash or something of the like so that your opponent can not mass small creatures against you.

best of luck!

If you get a chance I would love some feedback on either of my two decks

Also i think sticking with mostly the blue with a little black is good, but I don't really see cumber stone being necessary in this deck.

Looks very solid to me, I'm wondering if Jace would be a stronger planeswalker choice for this deck though, also maybe 4x salt marsh and 0x swamp? Good luck tomorrow!
