The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

So Geist of Saint Traft is one of my favorite cards ever. I just today got thinking about the sick possibility of him combining with quick-drop simic cards like cloudfin raptor. The results would quickly be catastrophic. So, without further ado, I present Geist of Saint Simic! Here's a bit of a breakdown on how this deck should go--

Turn 1 - Always a Cloudfin Raptor unless you don't have one. Then hopefully you have a Boros Elite.
Turn 2 - Probably want Thalia just to keep your Geist alive for an extra turn. If not, nearhearth is probably second best. Unless they're playing aggro, there won't be anything worth detaining with the arrester yet.
Turn 3 - Geist time. Get it out. If you played Thalia, they probably won't have anything they can do at this point in time to stop you.
Turn 4 - You have a few options here. Either use support cards like detention sphere or cyclonic rift to make sure the geist gets through, play another 3-drop like silverblade paladin to give either the angel or the geist double strike, or you can leave mana up for a restoration angel. Restoration angel can be cute with Azorius arrester, since you get to detain a creature for free in addition to having a really neat combat trick.

After that, follow through this geist.

From what I'm seeing, these control matchups will probably be pretty good, but aggro might get a bit sketchy. Trying to avoid splashing a third color here (for budget purposes), but I may need to. Comments and suggestions appreciated!

Deck discussion for Geist of Saint Simic (HELP!)

I'm sure you are aware, but this is very creature heavy. lol and only 7 spells. This isn't really a problem, but it just means you will need to rely on your creatures without counter spells, and instants.

Geist of Saint Traft is my win-condition. Sadly, it might be my only win-condition. The few spells are okay because of Thalia, but I'm a little concerned about the games that I don't get out a turn 3 geist. It's supposed to be an aggro deck, but Geist and Restoration Angel top off the curve, and without them the deck really doesn't stand much at all. The cloudfin raptors are nothing without the consistent evolve from the angel, and wingcrafter is really only there to send the geist flying over their creatures. Not sure what to do to fix this :/

It's a standard deck and Mindsculpter is no longer legal in standard.

lol that was a joke, I don't think it will solve his problem anyways. Pretty sure it's banned.

-2 Knock target opponent's deck on the ground, all cards turned face up in this way are exiled

The concept for this deck is wicked neat... My only concern is that the win condition is more rare than you might like. The problem is that there are no other low curve blue evolve cards in standard. I hate to criticize without offering a solution but cloudfin raptor is literally the only evolve card that you can fit in to your deck without splashing green.

This is all IMO of course, and I may be missing an important point.

No you hit the nail on the head lol that's exactly what I've been noticing while playing this deck lol champion of the parish is good since almost all cards are humans and the only cards that aren't are cloudfin raptor and the geist (which I'd be happy to see in any situation regardless of how many champions I want to evolve lol).

You are becoming far more adept, young grasshopper.

And I decided I'm gonna buy this anyway, because I'm going to transition it to UWR when M14 comes out. It actually plays better than you would imagine--not necessarily PT-winning quality, but pretty well nonetheless.
