Deck Description

This is a version of a standard deck my friend played during the Zendikar Block--and it performed incredibly well. That got me thinking of how a strategy like it would work out in Modern--thus, this deck was born. It's a pretty simple concept. The goal is to delay the game using pretty solid tempo cards like Remand, Path to Exile, Lightning Bolt, and Silence, all the while using draw enablers like Howling Mine and Temple Bell to fill your opponents hand with cards. Around turn 5, you should have a critical mass of spells, and can repeatedly cast Time Warp to keep them drawing cards via Jace Beleren and Temple Bell. Then, once you can cast Runeflare trap for its cheap cost, you can cast several copies or just cast twincast and finish them off.

Deck discussion for Runeflare Trap

Very cool. Also, very expensive.

The high price is likely because of the shocks and fetches. Most of them I already own, so that cuts the price down significantly.
