Deck Description

I wanted to create a combo with Oblivion Sower. After some mild research, Realm Razer seemed like the correct choice for the deck (as it is just a casual one). This places me into a three color space. Good thing - lots of variety. Bad thing - hard to fix and ramp. Both of these combo pieces are 6-mana creatures. I can use Fierce Empath to find either of them. More combos with Realm Razer are possible, for instance: Eerie Interlude (or other delayed flicker). It can protect my combo piece, and, more importantly, if cast at the right time, it is capable of removing all lands from the game with no chance of return. If done right, this means locking my opponents from doing anything while at the same time securing a way to win by having a beater to destroy them. This obviously requires a way to ensure that the Razer has a clear way, so removal is integral. As an expensive creature, I need to secure my early game in some way, and control seems to be the way to go - my opponent will have no creatures, so I can really just beat them with the razer. If my opponent plays a deck focused around spells more than creatures, I can focus the burn in their face and as such, achieve victory faster. Another decent strategy to go with razer is landfall. It will wonderfully fill out the hole in the deck that is early game. A scary Undergrowth Champion needs to be dealt with fast, or it can become a major issue, and thus slowing down my opponent. Another perk of playing this as a secondary deck theme: once there is a landfall ability sitting on the battlefield, removing Realm Razer is also a very dangerous move. As suggested by a friend of mine, Embodiment of Fury is a very nice addition to the landfallers of this deck, as it can be overwhelming if triggered several times by razer's land return, or even used as a good threat in the midgame.

To summarize: I need mana, so I will use Cultivate. I need to secure a way to survive long enough to cast my combo, so I will use burn removal and threats with landfall. The main combo pieces will have a tutor as well, to make it more likely to win with it, and not just simple slow attacks.
