Deck discussion for [standard] heartless summoning

its a nice deck, but you should put some reanimation cards and more artifacts in. that way you can use glissa more often then kill her with your gofors, then reanimate her to get more artifacts from your graveyard.maybe the green and black shines from new phyrexia

one of two models i expect to see heartless played in. The other one uses large creatures that dont care about the -1/-1.

e.g. see my heartless summoning deck +1 from me

Wurmcoil Engine!!!!!!!

Your right. I replaced Rune-Scarred Demon with Wurmcoil Engine. I also updated my sideboard by adding in Nihil Spellbomb for all those graveyard based decks in Innistrad.

i think you should put naturalize instead of doom blade so you could kill almost everything ;) look at mine and leave comments please:p

Naturalize= artifact or enchantment
Doom Blade= non black creature dies.
i would put both for shits and giggles...

I stuck 3 Naturalise in the sideboard for versing other heartless decks as they seem to be getting pretty popular in standard.

Natrualize would be a very popular card in standard because so few people have enchanetment removal. Everyone has red shatter effects that they can also flashback, so the artifact part won't help you too much, but the enchantment part will.
Then again, there is always that jacka** player that is playing the swords still, so might as well use Nat over other removal spells.

The metamorphs seem out of place. You're trying to reanimate and damage, not copy and damage.

-metamorphs and
+grave titans - endless zombie army
or
+reaper from the abyss -perilous shocks enemy, reaper kills creature, glissa brings perilous back...endless death cycle until opponent is out of creatures to kill.

have fun!

I couldn't fit reaper in 'cause he is 3 colourless and 3 black mana. I can't run a card with 3 black mana in his mana cost in a duel colour deck. Also Grave Titan's zombies become 1/1 with Heartless Summoning so not as worth it. The metamorph's are usefull 'cause with Heartless Summoning out I can pay 2 life and only 1 mana for any creature or artifact on the battlefield.

okay, good call w/ the metamorph and reaper.

i'm holding my ground on the titan, however. at worst, he's bringing in 7 power for 6 mana, and 2 1/1's that can hang behind and chump block if things are tight towards the end.

+1

4 mana*** :P

Glissa and Perilous Myr aren't really a combo. They just kill all the little tokens.

Not just all the little tokens, also low toughness creatures like Llanowar Elves and Birds of Paradise.

I hate to break it to u man, but Grave Titan + Heartless Summoning = Bad Grave Titan

Of all of the titans, this one becomes by far the worst. And there are soooo many other bomb 6 drops:

Wurmcoil, wurmcoil, wurmcoil, primeval, carnifex demon, wurmcoil, mabs even carnage wurm(but he's a 7drop :O!!!!), and most importantly, wurmcoil.

Wow pretty sweet setup those perilous myr combos are excellent, and with glissa and sheoldred you can blast out the damage with those to bad one surge extract ruins it.
