Deck discussion for Balanced Dragon Deck

1. First thing I would recommend is to cut your deck down to 60 cards and that's a golden rule for all decks not just this one.

2. Second thing If your going mono red dragons try to run more burn spells: Lightning Bolt, Incinerate, Flame Slash. Also Pyroclasm is a great card for this deck.
3. As for your creatures, you should pick maybe at the most 8 dragons ranging in mana cost from 5-7 mana. Dragon's I would recommend Ancient Hellkite is always a good one, Balefire Dragon is superior to Mordant Dragon. Ryusei and Two-Headed dragon are keepers for sure. Archwing Dragon, Chandra's Phoenix, and Ogre Sentry are great creatures to put pressure on your opponent(s) and defend yourself till you can play your bigger dragons.

Just suggestions but the biggest thing is CUT TO 60 CARDS. Best of luck! :)

Thanks for the input. My biggest problem is the size that's for sure but I also do not really buy new cards anymore so most of my stuff is old which limits my decks also. I like this deck because it was the first one I ever made back in '99 haha

Try comparing with this deck that I constructed; you might just start considering making a multi-color deck. Unlike most 5 color decks, this one actually works really well! The only real downside to it is the lack of monsters below 5 mana, or lack of instants or sorceries. It uses mana ramping, so it can get out stuff in 3 or 4 turns. It is not the most amazing deck, but as far as dragon themed decks go, it is great. If you really need some diversity in it, try modding it! I just wanted to be purely themed!

I know what you mean about it being the first deck lol. If you would like here's a link to the first deck I ever made...I believe late summer fall of 2010 after I got into magic in the spring.
