You know what goes great with Undying? Black Sun's Zenith! The ruling on +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters on the same creature is that they cancel each other out. With Black Sun's Zenith you could sweep the board and all of your Undying creatures that had +1/+1 counters on them would all lose those counters before they went to the graveyard and therefore regain their Undying ability. Since you are running black, it should be a great fit.

Check out some of my decks if you have some time to kill...

By my experience caravan vigils are better for this type of deck than dawntreaders, but they work best together. Elk on turn 2, sacrifice and vigil on turn 3, 6 mana on turn 4, which I usually use for flayer of the hatebound, but you could use on a vorapede or anything else. I highly suggest running either 3 of each or 4 vigils and 2 elks.
