Deck Description

"Inside my head a common room,
a common place, a common tune,
a common wealth, a common doom"
Excerpt from the poem Inside My Head, by Robert Creeley.

Not much of a revision, but one day I'll find that common doom inside my head. Pox, and therefore my main reason to play Magic, is evolving rather slowly within my head. The nature of Black Stax Pox prevents it from receiving frequent, or rapid development, as the manner of card that would fit within is not something they feel like creating much of.

Deck discussion for Inside My Head

I think this is the first time I've seen you run a Stox frame with all 4 Mox Diamonds. I like it though. Interested in why the Demonic Taskmasters are in the SB...

Also WELCOME BACK!!!

I've run it at four a few times, but it's still bold new ground for me, I'll admit. Taskmaster actually comes in a lot, more than you would think, but especially against ANT it helps to have a clock. I think Arty, and I, went over this a little before... Not sure though.

And thanks! I'm actually rather excited about the upcoming set, it looks like we'll all have something new to tinker around with ^-^

I'm very excited about this new set. I've always loved Innistrad, but then when I heard the eldrazi were coming to the plane I was skeptical to say the least. However, the way Wizards worked the story is fantastic. The set has great flavor and the eldrazi presence in Innistrad feels more like an infectious disease or some kind of parasite than the big destroyers of worlds/reality that we saw on Zendikar. In some ways, it makes them even more menacing. I also have to say, this might be the first time in the story that I've been brought to feel sorry for Sorin Markov. And that's something.

I really enjoy the flavor, though I feel Emrakul in the moon is a cop out. But it's so wonderful overall that I really can't help but already love it. That it's being treated as a parasite has me excited, and with the eldritch (duh) implications of the Eldrazi, I've really been enjoying the art as well. Nothing will ever make me feel sorry for Sorin Markov though, an old walker who is also a vampire is pretty much the most unsympathetic thing in this universe short of a certaom elder dragon walker.

It is wonderful to see you have returned. As you can see, I have as well. I ask you as a fellow lover of all things dark and twisted, to look at my most recent deck. Although there are still some cobwebs to loose, I believe after all my truancy, I still have a knack for decks that cause great consternation. As well, I believe someone so well read as yourself would not only understand the deck's name, but get a chuckle out of it.

If you'd be so kind.

This is an absolutely lovely way to approach the deck.

I mean seriously, what's not to love? The enomb synergy, the Smokestack synergy, the Crucible of Worlds synergy, it's dumb to go on, the deck is packed to the brim with interactions, maybe to the point at which it could harm it, but on second thought, this is pox, you discard stuff you can't use.

Though I hate to see Liliana of the Veil not be playset :( I think that this deck has managed to fix the "pox problem"(having no way to take advantage of your opponents lack of anything) and therefore might not need the 4th one.

I would hovever play Inquisition instead of Thoughtseize, you lose a lot more life than the regular pox deck, or am I missing something?

And the poem, the love for pox great job!

PS: Any thoughts on modern pox? Particularly the death cloud versions.
