Deck Description

UG Infect was what I'd went with when Scars was coming out, and I still have yet to look back. I missed playing this game a lot more than I realized.

How to Play

Roll face. Seriously, it's not like it's 10L.

Deck discussion for Noble Infect

Add Rogue's Path. It's good for infect decks

With this kind of infect, you're not looking to make it far enough into the game where rogue's passage will be relevant. If it gets to that point you've pretty much already lost.

Assuming you mean Rogue's Passage, that's a dreadful lot of mana to commit to not pumping or keeping my beaters safe. I'd much rather just deal with them potentially blocking my Necropede, or Glistener Elf than sink that much. Much like Mr. Afleck states above.

And as to the question of Karakas, the shops I frequent have Reanimator, and Sneak players. Having a silver bullet is not such a bad idea when coupled with Crop Rotation.

Guess I got beat to the punch... Personally, I don't like Karakas, but then again... I play Reanimator.
@stormtide. Have you ever played infect (modern, legacy, edh)??

I know those feels, I haven't tinkered with it in a while, but Reanimator was probably one of my longest standing competitive decks... Then we had this flood of Maverick players playing Dirt, and I just wept softly on the inside.

Never did play competitive legacy. Main formats in my area are modern, standard, edh and draft/sealed. My friends don't allow me to play my Reanimator deck... Eventually I'll get around to build infect for modern.

I'm primarily an Eternal format person myself, Legacy, Vintage, and more recently Modern. EDH was always pretty much "how much can I grief the table?" with my group, and Standard was never my thing.
Also didn't play that much competitively, or at least tournament wise. Somewhere along the lines the shop I originally tried to set up a DCI number at did, but only over a year late.

Always sad when your friends ban a deck from casual play, but to be fair, Reanimator is pretty epic.
And you should enjoy a nice success rate if you were to build Modern Infect. It's quite potent.

Made up a game as a joke. The goal was to lose as quickly as possible before the other player could defeat you (2 sets of 20 life. One for your damage, one for the opponents.) Turn 1 phage is probably the quickest way to lose.

I think anyone sitting across the table from you would agree that "noble infect" is an oxymoron. ;) +1.

Any room for Mutagenic Growth? Free spell and they don't really expect it when you have all your lands tapped.

Mutagenic Growth is one of those spells that's to be expected with infect. Normally used in modern. It's legacy counterpart invigorate is even better.

Yes, but I already saw he has a playset of Invigorate. I figure Mutagenic Growth is for a game-ender.
