Force your opponents into a soft lock where they must choose to keep their creatures or attack. Protect Hokori at all costs, even if it means taking some damage. Use Crystal Shard during your opponent's end step to return Hokori to your hand, allowing you to untap all your lands.

very cool concept. i have also been a huge winter orb fan for years.unfortunately this looks a bit to slow for serious modern play.

I'm hoping Path to Exile and Vapor Snag will keep most threats at bay long enough to throw at least two of the combo pieces down, which will slow the game to a manageable crawl. I haven't played a whole lot of Modern at this point, but will continue tweaking this and praying for some luck. Thanks for taking a look and commenting, side board suggestions welcome!
