Sac and Bring back Artifacts to power up Atog.See below combos:Atog/Slagfiend. Sac artifacts to power up Atog. Each artifact sacked and put into the graveyard powers up Slagfiend.Perilous Myr/Shrapnel blast. For two mana you sac Perilous Myr with Shrapnel causing 7 points of damage! Myr Retriever/Atog/Perilous Myr. Sac Perilous Myr to give Atog +2/+2, then Sac Myr Retriever to Atog, giving him +4/+4, then use the retrivers ability (as he goes to the graveyard) to bring back Perilous Myr. Skullclamp/and Memnite or Myr Retriever or Perilous Retriever. Casting Skullclamp on ANY of there creatures will let you draw 2 cards. Casting Skullclamp on the Myr Retriever will grant you two cards AND let you bring back ANY artifact card in your graveyard. Casting Skullclamp on Perilous Retriever will let you FOR 2 MANA draw 2 cards and cause 2 damage to your opponent. Each time you sac a creature with Skullclamp you get to draw 2 cards, and power up Slagfiend +1/+1. Good thing about Skullclamp is that it stays in play. Fling is a neat card. Let's say I Sacrifice 5 artifacts to Atog. That makes him a 10/12 creature. My opponent has a 1/1 creature he intends to block my Atog. I spend 2 mana to use my Fling on Atog. My opponent takes 10 damage directly! Fling/Atog/Slagfiend. Example; sac 5 Artifacts to Atog. He becomes a 10/12. The Slagfiend becomes a 5/5. Attack with the Atog causing 10 damage. Then sac the Slagfiend to Fling to cause 5 more damage to your opponent. Lotus Petal...what can I say...I run 4 copies of this card in EVERY deck I make. 1st turn 2 mana. You can't go wrong with this card!! 5 out of 5 stars. EXample: Play Lotus Petal, sac it to Atog to give +2/+2, then sac Myr Retriever to Atog to give him +4/+4. Retrievers effect comes into play bringing back Lotus Petal. Atog is a 4/6 creature and you can sac Lotus Petal to gain one mana of any color or sac Lotus Petal to make Atog a 6/8 creature.
Quickly cast out free Artifact cards. Hit hard with Atog and your Red mana spells by sacrificing your artifacts.After you have sacrificed all of your artifacts, hit with a pumped up Slag Fiend.Winter Orb to control opponent down!! With Winter Orb out he can only untap one land a turn. My deck is not running a single card that costs more than 2 mana!

Does Cranial Plating work in this deck? It seems really powerful...but if this deck works by sacing all of my artifacts...I need help!

Good call on the fling. I didn't think about that for my deck. Maybe throw an isocron scepter in there? I was thinking about doing that for my shrapnel blasts.
Also a very good assortment of lands... makes me wanna change mine a bit more.
The Scepter is a very, very nice card! I only own 1 copy. But it is a nasty card. And i could possible take out the Winter Orb and put in the Scepter. And ak47888, you know why i am running extra artifact lands, right. So i can sack them to power up Atog/Slag Fiend. Plus, i can use Shrapnel Blast on the Lands if I need to.
And you can, if you were wondering, sac Darksteel Citadel even though it is indestructible. So, your opponent can't get rid of it easily, but you can sac it yourself, if need be.
I would recommend Mox Opal's some where in this and browbeat's for sure too cause the red. It would be faster with those. Mana production and draw power.
Yeah. I love those Guys. Kinda pricey. But Excellent Card for this deck.

This is a great deck, not much I have to suggest for it :) Only things I have to add are that Academy Ruins might be decent as a 1-of, and I would try to fit a fourth Sharpnel Blast in there somewhere. Also, as a side note, this would be a cool deck for Salvage Titan, even though that's kind of janky and wouldn't be good competitively. Awesome deck though, I really like it :D

I would replace fling with a set of reckless abandon and maybe add myr servitor for cycling. Other than, this is a pretty cool deck!
Reckless Abandon is a nice choice...but I really like Fling better. What happens is I power up my Atog and they always block him with a super weak creature. They pretty much chump block my creature and take no damage. With Fling I sac my Atog and they are forced to take the damage, regardless of how much blockers they have. For example. My Atog is powered up to 11/12 (I sacked 5 of my artifacts). My opponent blocks with a 1/1. His creature dies but my opponent takes no damage. I just ending up sacking 5 of my artifacts just to kill his 1/1 creature. It was a waste on my part. So now I add Fling. My Atog is 11/12. I attack, he blocks with his 1/1 creature. I cast Fling sacking my Atog and causing 11 points of damage directly to my opponent.I am super digging Myr Servitor in this deck though, liking your comment on this one. What card would you take out for it? Myr Servitor can be used brokenly with SkullClamp or Atog. Really digging it.
Ok, I can agree with the use of fling, though you could always add it to your sideboard just in case. As for myr servitor, I would suggest taking out 2 perilous myr and slag fiend for it.
