Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

vanguard487 wanted a Red/Green deck with Tarmogofy, Wild Nacatl, and Kird Ape.

He wanted more burn...but I went more Double Strike.

Aiming for an all or nothing lethal strike with either Tarmo/Nacatl/Ape.
Get one of them 10/10 or higher, and use Assault Strobe or Double Cleave.
And attack for the win!

How to Play

What I am looking at, ladies and gentleman.

Turn 1. Play Taiga. Then play Wild Nacatl or Kird Ape
Turn 2. Play Stomping Ground. Then play Groundswell and Revenge of the Hunted or Invigorate (miracle casting cost and alternative casting cost). Finally cast Assault Strobe on your Wild Nacatl or Kird Ape.

Looking at between 22 and 26 damage on Turn 2.

Mana ramp into speed of your Hunted cost.

Pact of Negation is cast on your winning turn to prevent opponent from countering your spells.

Neat deck. How reliable do you think the early game combo win would be? Seems like it might be kind of tricky to get.

Good question. I have not tested it.

T2 would be ideal, but I think it'd be most reliable as a T3 or at least a T4, which is still not too shabby.

Berserk would be pretty theme-fitting, and it is cool to be used as a painful removal spell. :)

Berserk might be nice if you like a gamble. Its not real useful as a removal other than self removal since it has to be played before the combat phase. They'll see it coming. :(

I thought it had to be played before damage. :)

Oh, sorry I did not read the updated text. Berserk can only be cast before combat. :)

U might want some fetches to get some lands into the graveyard?

Price considered...

Fetch lands shouldn't break the bank on this one.

And should boost Groundswell, okay.
Will add 4 Wooded Foothills.
Ugh...this deck is so expensive, lol.
It was a challenge though.

I hate playing expensive cards.
For one thing, I don't own them.
For the second thing, I feel like expensive cards should not win you the game. They can. They do. But maybe they should not.

My two favorite decks. Decks that sum up how much money I want to spend to make a damned good deck. Decks that equate my style of play are:

I don't typically spend more than fifty on a deck. That changes if I am gushing over a particular card and want it in foil. Totally fell for Flesh Norn... Like three hundred dollars in elesh norns...

I played in draft the other night where I milled and delved. Milled the opponent, Milled myself, delved to Mill, and then Delved to play Empty the Pits for like, 20+ zombies.
