Deck Description

This deck is designed around the idea that the only true way to play the Izzet is through chaos.

I am Melek, Izzet Paragon. Much like all researchers in the Izzet academy, I am more interested is see what will result from unpredictable arcane forces. Studying relics like Teferi's Puzzlebox and the Panoptic Mirror we can discover many different spells available to this deck.

And like most researchers I will strive to protect my research with control spells. Though recruiting the help of accomplished mages like the summoner Talrand and the chronomancer Ral Zarek, has resulted in dramatic successes.

Eventually I will strive to control the random forces I have studied so long. Perhaps if I can control them long enough I will rule the multiverse.

How to Play

This deck is built to win with Chance Encounter. The control spells are there to protect that spell more than any other reason. Lots of draw spells and library manipulation help siphon through the deck to get to the flip cards. I stopped playing with tutors, so this helps get to chance encounter faster.

With Melek as the commander, creatures cards are not as useful, so I put in a bunch of token generators. These tokens are important for cards that flip for each attacking or blocking creature as well as fodder. Other than that it is pretty straight forward.

Definitely more of a hijinks deck than kill deck. Also I am looking for ideas on what to use as my coin. I want to use something epic.

Deck discussion for Heads I Win, Tails You Lose

I think pantopic mirror is on the Wizards ban-list.
Other than that I like this deck alot! Adding this level of chaos pumps up the fun of EDH.

I have left some comments on your decks as you have seen, but I kinda ran out of steam so if there is any one deck that I missed that you would like a comment on let me know and I will work on something for that one next.
