Deck discussion for WIthering Heights

gnarled effigy is too slow. i tried it in my wither deck and it just doesnt work well. i do like fate transfer though and i will try to work it into my deck. check out my wither decks. i have two: a red/black wither and a mono black wither. my mono black wither is better so you should check that one out

Agreed on gnarled effigy too slow. It costs four to cast, then 4 to use when you could be doing more useful things with those four. It also only adds on counter. I've used it too, it's just nothing compared to incremental blight. At an almost 1-to-1 mana to -1/-1 counter ratio, it could be said it's nearly four times better than the effigy's 4-to-1. 8-to-1 if you count it's casting cost for the first counter.

Yeah i figured the effigy was too slow, but i couldn't find anything else to make -1/-1 counters from eventide or shawmoor.

I might go with a torture from shadowmoor, it's relatively cheap and can be used to put counters in the bank in case you need a fate transfer later. That, or just add some basic equipment to make those counters stack up higher.
