I'm feeling inspired to try out a different sort of blue deck....
Blue has a long history of being able to tap and untap other permanents--especially creatures--at will. But with inspired being introduced in Theros block, that ability takes on a whole new meaning....Deepwater Hypnotist, Aerie Worshippers, Daring Thief, Sphinx's Disciple, and Arbiter of the Ideal are all pretty good on their own. But join them with other creatures that untap for benefits--like Crackleburr, Leech Bonder, Silkbind Faerie, and Merrow Grimeblotter--and mix in some tapping and untapping potential, and you've got the makings of a very powerful deck.I won't bore you by reading off what each inspired or untap-to-trigger-an-ability creature here does, as you can do that on your own, and it would take a long time to list them all. I'll just mention that they include creating flying tokens, bouncing creatures, reducing opposing creatures' strength (significantly), tapping down opposing creatures, drawing cards, adding +1/+1 counters to your creatures, semi-scrying the top card of your library, and playing any permanent in your deck for free. So...yeah. I think the potential is definitely there. :-)Several ways to tap them down in the first time, especially utilizing Merrow Reejerey, who can do it multiple times a turn. Crypsis also lets you untap a creature and/or send it into battle with minimal risk (and tap it again in the process).
