Deck Description

Long live Humans!

...literally.

How to Play

Not much to it, really. Play your Human weenies as you draw them, and be aggressive. If you lose them along the way, no big deal! Immortal Servitude can bring every single one of them back... they all have a CMC of 1! Sac them (Selfless Cathar, Rapid Hybridization), block with them (Doomed Traveler is a particularly nice choice), fling them into battle without hesitation.

Being able to play with such reckless abandon frees you up to wipe the board at whim with Verdict...then repopulate your side with Servitude. Make sure you return Champion of the Parish first, of course, for a massive boost from the rest of his buddies.

If your opponent has a way to somehow negate Immortal Servitude, your sideboard has other options in Angel of Glory's Rise, Faith's Reward, and even Sudden Disappearance to a degree, though they're all a bit more clunky. You can pull in your own solution to that sort of problem with Nevermore. If you're playing a deck that drags on, try Cathar's Crusade, which is practically game ending if you have it on the field when you return a mass of Humans from your graveyard. Your birds can help combat sorceries/instants (Familiar) or just provide more air support (Falcon) as needed, and both are eligible Servitude targets along with your 1-cost Humans.

I know this deck is kind of janky, but I'm tempted to try it out at FNM, at least. Might surprise some folks. What do YOU think?

Deck discussion for Immortal Humans

I like this more than my version of "one man army" because it adds blue and thus has more control to it. Mass appeal is also an underrated card. However, your sideboard looks kinda off. When are you subbing cathars' crusade or sudden D? I would go with some direct countermagic in order to offset against cards like Bonfire and graveyard whiping spells which will pop up more often in the second game. If you like white, "rootborn defense" could be a better fit than faith's reward because you don't have to worry about summoning sickness. Goodluck with your test!
