Deck Description

I wanted to try something crazy: make a deck with no creatures, no direct damage, no instant win conditions, no conventional strategies at all. Instead, this deck is all about...land!

How to Play

That's right: manlands galore. Not a single normal creature to be found--I thought long and hard about Avenger of Zendikar, Knight of the Reliquary, Oracle of Mul Daya and others, but I didn't want to break the "no creatures" theme. But over half the deck consists of lands capable of becoming and/or directly generating creatures, with four being creatures by default. (Gotta love the uniqueness of Dryad Arbor!) Boost them with Earth Surge, make them nearly unkillable with Terra Eternal, boost AND protect them with Darksteel Garrison, and keep them coming turn after turn with Explorer's Scope, Into the Wilds, and other such cards. Your opponent will be left bemused, then bewildered and befuddled, and finally embarrassed as they get pounded into the ground by...well, the ground.

Probably a really stupid idea on my part, but hey, I figured it was worth seeing what could be done with the idea. Any help, perhaps from someone as crazy as I am who may have actually tried this, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Good one! I was poking around for a card in these colors that would zap away creatures on the field each turn, since I can hold my "creatures" in reserve until after the effects have passed and THEN activate them, but it was tough in these colors. Completely missed Nodes. I'll see if I can slide that in somewhere...thanks!
