Trying to build up a couple of Pauper decks, and thought Slivers would be a good way to go. After all, with Sinew Sliver, Predatory Sliver, and Muscle Sliver offering common anthem effects, the potential is certainly there to overpower other common-filled battlefields.A full playset of Sinews and Predatories was certainly in order (and a couple of Muscles in the sideboard if you really need them), but what to build around them? Gemhide is obvious for mana fixing, especially since many of the other Slivers I sought were in red: haste from Blur Sliver, additional strength from Bonesplitter Sliver, overwhelming attacks from Two-Headed Sliver and Hunter Sliver, and first strike from Striking Sliver. Red even offers some tutoring thanks to Homing Sliver!White also brings vigilance (Sentinel Sliver) and flanking (Sidewinder Sliver) to the table, as well as letting us generate Sliver tokens with Hive Stirrings and mass protection from Rootborn Defenses (which even then populates those Stirring tokens).Sideboard choices mostly offer some direct creature kills (Roar of the Crowd, Coordinated Barrage) and protection from fliers (Spinneret Sliver, Avian Changeling, along with more strength, if needed, from the previously mentioned Muscle Sliver.I chose Naya because the commons in black and blue didn't seem worth reaching for.What do you think?
