How to Play

Wait a second...these creatures are all defenders! Does that mean I'll just be sitting back and letting my enemy come at me all game?

Not exactly. There are multiple ways to win with this deck. Perhaps the most obvious is Vent Sentinel. With half the deck consisting of defender creatures, the Sentinels are really all you need to throttle the opponent into submission. If that doesn't work, though, you can have your Wakestone Gargoyles lead the way in counter-attacking with some surprisingly powerful "defender" creatures (several with 3 or even 5 power). Finally, if even THAT doesn't do the trick, you can sit back and shrug off any attacks thrown your way, using your Soldiers to beef up your defense and gain life every time the opponent hammers away--and use Rage Nimbus, Aggravate, and Lust for War to MAKE them attack when they don't want to--and just slowly pick away the opponent's life with the directed damage from Lust for War, as well as Chalice of Death once your life total soars from Perimeter Captain and Luminous Wake. Your opponent might be able to defeat one, maybe even two of those strategies, but it's unlikely they can survive the potential of all three!

Thoughts? Advice? Any and all comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!
