Haste, haste, haste...and more haste.Other than the mana dorks, Nylea, and one other important creature I'll get to in a moment, every single creature here has haste. And they're all green! The strategy really lies in those facts: throw your creatures into combat the turn they hit, and smack the opponent and their creatures around. But you can ensure they hit with overwhelming force thanks to an overlooked creature: Primal Forcemage. His ability seems odd, since it's a significant boost to any creature...that only works on the turn in which that creature enters play. That's PERFECT with haste, though. +3/+3 during that first, critical combat? Yes, please!And once your creatures inevitably start to fall (even if it's self-induced, like with Groundbreaker), you can still keep cranking out hasty copies each turn with Mimic Vat.The sideboard has some defensive help, with Ambush Viper making for a very nasty speed bump if the opponent tries to outrace you and counter-attack (and the Viper still benefits from boosts from Forcemage, so there's a good chance it lives to block another day). Briarpack Alpha can play that role as well, and makes a fantastic Mimic Vat target. The other card of particular note is Putrefax; if you face an opponent that's vulnerable due to lack of creatures or one that's trying to outrace you by swinging back each turn, Putrefax can end things VERY quickly.And quick is the name of this particular game!
