Deck Description

Elves are real cheapskates in the current Standard, eh?

How to Play

Loving me some Obelisk of Urd. There are seemingly always enough Elves in Standard to build a "tribal" deck, even if they completely lack any "lords" or real tribal support right now. Obelisk alone is enough.

And Elves are ever-versatile. They ramp, they protect each other (Oak Street Innkeeper), they boost each other (Ivy Lane Denizen, Sunblade Elf), they destroy key opposing cards (Reclamation Sage), they gain life (Saruli Gatekeepers), and they strike hard and disappear before the enemy has a chance to react with Elves like Gladecover Scout and Spire Tracer. Those last two are one big wincon: load them up with an Unflinching Courage and an Obelisk boost and swing away. Or attack en masse, especially with Golgari Decoy living up to his name and drawing all defense away.

I built this specifically with budget in mind, but if you can spend freely, obviously the land base could be shored up with Temple Gardens and the like. And obvious includes would be Nissa, Worldwaker and Ajani, Mentor of Heroes, who both fit right in. Try it out and have fun!
