Vampires FTW!
Based loosely off my Standard "Vampires Seeing Red" deck, the theme here is basically the same: straight-out face-smashing and gaining life from Blood Artist as the bodies pile up. Lots of ways to pick off your opponent's creatures, with your instant/sorcery kill spells and several Vampires (especially Gatekeeper of Malakir and Anowon) chipping in: 14 direct killing cards in all, and plenty of other potential in the red zone. Thatcher Revolt is a great way to trigger your own deaths and is particularly lethal with Falkenrath Aristocrat out to gobble them up or with Butcher of Malakir to then wipe out a trio of the opponent's creatures. Ouch!While my Standard deck is geared more towards quick victories, this one is designed primary to roar to life a few turns in, trading the blazing speed of Vamires like Stromkirk Noble for direct kill and control a little later in. You may cede control of the board early, but when you sieze it back, you won't be giving it back up.I put this together for a Legacy tournament coming up this weekend...any and all help would be greatly appreciated, especially since I don't know what to expect in the Legacy environment too well!
