Deck Description

An attempt at a blue/black proliferation/infect control deck. I've touched this up. I could add Contagion Clasp or Engine, there's lots of switching out out I COULD do, but I think this is pretty sound. I'll have to wait until I can test it against someone.

I don't see, how Jace fits into this deck. + why only one Inexorable Tide? + Thummingbirds?

Good point on the Jace, I spose he doesn't really have a place this deck other than to be a distraction really.

I wouldn't use Mana Leak, or only two, and put two more Fuel for the... in its stead.

Yeah, I was hesitant to put in more Fuel... because of the 4 mana cost where as Mana Leak has the early game advantage, but then again I suppose Stoic Rebuttal does too.

Btw. I recently put together a similar UB infect/prolif deck, and after a few games I realized, that the deck has to be very aggressive and fast. Always attack, always proliferate and you also want to have many manas down.
So, I think Inexorable Tide has a to play a major role in proliferate, and for early game I found the Thummingbirds extremely useful. I play Flesh-Eater Imp in Plague Stingers stead

Yes, but don't forget the main goal for this deck, which is Proliferate. So that's why i think Fuel.. is better than Mana Leak in this situation.

Makes sense. I'll look into the Thrummingbirds, I think I only have one. Might have to pick some up. Thanks for the pointers!

no probz. If you find some space, you may want to put in four Virulent Wounds as well. I found them quite useful after blocking, or before attacking. nice card

Also use some tumble magnets to control till you set up inexorable tide. Once you proliferate your magnets its really hard to get by them.

Needs Contagion Engines and/or Clasps.

It's nice to see proliferate get a little more attention :-) It's my favorite Mechanic and I like seeing it done well :-)

Couple suggestions though...
Stoic Rebuttal is almost NEVER going to get metalcraft in this deck. I suggest Corrupted Resolve instead... in and infect deck it's almost always casting for 2.
Spread the Sickness is Nice, but at 5 mana to cast it's just too expensive... Virulent wound is helpful, and much cheaper. Get's the counter out, and with the amount of proliferate you're running, the creature should be dead in a few turns anyway. And once it dies, poison counter!
Fuel for the Cause is on the same plane as Spread the Sickness. Really sweet effect, but it's too expensive to make it worth running... If you need the proliferate, you'd probably be better off running something like Grim Affliction, or some Contagion Clasps/Engines. Or maybe toss in Viral Drake? That guy has some utility on him in an infect deck.
And finally, get rid of Steady Progress. Tezzeret's Gambit kicks the crap out of that card.

Oh, as a side note, Blighted Agent and Plague Stinger cost the same amount... Just saying :-)
