Deck Description

Get painter's servant. Say "Blue." Win. I just found out about chaotic backlash, Imagine saying to your 20 life opponent, "I'm about to win with a $0.08 card." Please tell me, would this fare well in a modern tournament? Or a Legacy or vintage tournament? :)

Change the lands to dual lands. I'm not sure you'll be able to do much because I'm unsure if painters servant changes the lands as well. if it does then don't worry about it. other then that maybe add a bit more pro blue

Id replace one of the druids with the sable stag and run a bigger creature in place of the other three like akroma angel of fury. can't be countered firebreathing can morph it and has trample for before you get the servant. nice build though id use rootbound crag over the shocklands with this build since they would be likely to come in untapped without paying life. Or id swap the amount of refuge and the stomping grounds and run four crags instead. realistically the second would be the better option of the two.

The problem is painter's servant does not turn things into islands. But I'll sideboard it. :)

This looks like a nice deck. Might add a couple more land, and also get more dual lands instead of basic.

Painter's Servant is always a nice card to abuse, and you've done so well. It does still leave the faint glimmer of hope which is nice, unlike painters servant with iona, shield of emeria.

Personally i can handle counters but straight mill annoys the crap outta me to. its the reason i built my green white deck and why i love elixir of immortality lol

What is different about modern and legacy and others? :)

From 8th edition to now is modern never rotating out. standard is the last full block core set and current set until the block is finished then the last one in this case return to ravnica block is done. legacy vintage and extended i don't really know except its a lot more cards than modern that can be used

The Extended format includes all of the sets legal in the Standard format plus several ye worth of earlier cards. The Extended format includes expansions and core sets from the past four years' worth of blocks. The Vintage format allows players to use cards from every Magic set in existence. You can play with cards from the very first release of Limited Edition (Alpha) in 1993, all the way up to the sets you can buy right now at your local retailer! Because so many cards are available for play in the format. The Legacy format is Vintage with a twist. While all Magic: The Gathering sets are legal in Legacy, just as they are in Vintage, some specific cards are prohibited from play in the format. This creates an entirely different flavor for the format and offers up new creative challenges for players building decks for Legacy competition. Not quite Vintage and not quite Standard.

Do you think this would do well in a modern tournament, or do you think my knight deck is better? My local game store has one every friday. :)

Id run the knights first it seems to be finer tuned. also in a tournament setting people won't give you the chance to get the servant to call blue. the knights seem like they'll do better in that situation. with it not needing a specific card for its best potential.
