Deck discussion for Deck Challenge: Feed the Pack

I like the use with Tree of Redemption. May I recommend Gravetiller Wurm?

I thought of it aswell. But consider Feed the pack is during end step, which means you can't get the morbid effect out of it.

But you do have undying, so you can poke your enemies during combat with a small creature, allow it to die and revive, then toss out the Gravetiller Wurm.

Consider that carnage wurm, if you fail to do damage, you also fail to ramp your creatures. if you fail to deal damage and you roll Gravetillers, you ramp successfully, but if they take the damage, then you dealt damage and either way you gain from the event.

It's worth considering.

That's true. It will work better together with Thraben Sentry too, I assume.

Thanks for the feedback.

Essence of the Wild instead of Gravetiller Wurm so you will get 6/6 creatures instead of 2/2 wolves.

I could go with Essence of the Wild, but the deck is meant to be below $30.

Anyway, I like the idea behind this deck, so I´m trying do make my own version of it: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=318548

I like it. Could do well with gavony township, since then the proliferate will do better. But that means dual-lands.

go big with moldgraph monstrosity. Sack him and get some other creatures back from the grave.

I was thinking of some like this to craft :) ... This could be narrowed & perfected to tournament quality easily, just narrow it, adjust the mana curve & the mana base...

I bet this can get real good, and ugly for the opponent! If you come up with a cool deck variation of this, do link it! :)

Awesome deck, dude! How do the Parallel Lives and Intangible Virtue hold up? The Parallel Lives seems pretty do-nothing, until you get a Feed the Pack out, but then again, you do get a retarded amount of wolves.

I also have a Feed the Pack deck, but I made it as a $5 budget challenge. Tell me what you think!

Thanks! The parallel lives and intangible makes it all worthwhile, but prepare to get some enchantment-hate, since you have 3 pretty important enchantments.

I think your deck looks good, will give you a comment on it there! :)

This is no joke! It is very fun to play at times, and free for all. The plan is to sacrifice your creatures with feed the pack and eat up your opponent with them. :)

Here is my take on Feed The Pack.

I don't see any reason to have white in your deck. I would go mono green.

The reason is intangible virtue, and for potential sideboarding. :)

If thats the only reason to play white it makes no sense. Maybe play Over Run?

Thats an idea too, but I like to keep the thraben sentry too. c:

Maybe you should try Thragtusk to fill out the curve and get extra value or Wolfir Silverheart to make everything big. Nice deck :)

Thanks, but I am not sure those will be budget-friendly. :) It was you that set the budget limit afterall!

I'm liking it! Pakko digata toimivaa standardi kamaa ja varsinki ku hinta on kohillaan :)

How much does the deck depend around the elves mana-production? I mean..llanowars seem solid but then again Archdruids depend alot on other elves on the battlefield, obviously, having a total of 7 elves in this deck seems very little. Would Dawntreader Elk be an option? that way you could grab that plains if u are in need of one, without totally having to rely on having white mana in opening hand.

U could also throw in a few cultivates, for ramp.

I'd really wanna build such a deck, but a mono-green version, intangible virtue isn't really needed when u sac a tree of redemption..hell u get nuff of green tokenpower from that, especially if u combo it with parallel lives...unless ofcourse you're weary of pyroclasms or other "minor" global effects.

Have u thought of Essence of the wilds, to make it even more devastating.. Feed the pack + Tree of R + Parallel lives + Essence of the wild = I'd take it.

While you're at it, wanna take a look at my standard low budget splinterfright deck, i'd really need some pro tips and feedback on this one, i'm kinda satisfied'ish at the current build though, through a lot of playing, but wouldn't mind making chances for the better.

Sorry, don't really like advertising my decks on other people's expense but I dunno how to reach people, the forums being sorta quiet and all.

I try to keep the deck standard, thus leaving cultivate out. :) The elves aren't all too important, but it gives the deck early mana gain and sacrifice. Which speeds it up.

I really like having intangible virtue out, as it leaves an army of blockers. Also sweepers like black sun and whipflare are negated. (:

The essence of the wild are amazing, but I am still not sure if it fits the budget, as mentioned above.

sorry my bad, I assumed once they were released in the plancechase 2012 edition they'd be standard.

Rampant growth ('till fall) and or Caravan vigil still options for ramp.

This is awesome glad someone else has a Feed the Pack deck. Here is mine I like yours I especially like that both are completely different. Let me know what you think of mine.

http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=338604

Now I didn't read every comment but here is My imput on yours. Sry if I repeat.

1. Moldgraf Monstrosity Awesome late game changer. Love it.
2. How do you fair against Flying especially the Delver decks that are still running around. I think maybe a Skin Shifter or two could help you for an eairly drop and maybe a 0/8 turn 4-5 for tokens.
3. Maybe run some noxioius revieals in sideboard just incase you go against a deck thats running Disenchant to keep the preasure on.
4. I do this all the time if im up on life and i have another one in my hand. Tap my tree to switch life and then sac for Tokens. I did this once for 33 tokens. it was sweet. But I also run blunt assalt so i ended up Fogging right before a Day in retaliation to gain all that life and more back.

Again Input on mine would be appreciated.

Those are some great tips. I haven't been working through this deck all too much, since its just a whipped-up deck challenge for racky. :) But those are some great tips indeed, if I ever plan on building it myself irl, I might try it out!

Thanks for the tips! I'll have a look at yours!
