I wanted to create a deck based around Nicol Bolas, because I've always liked Bolas and with Gatecrash and Ravnica coming out, I like him even more! Options like Realmwright, Supreme Verdict and Gridlock being brought in have made him even better. Entreat the Angels is also a very, very nice card. With the many great great lands and ramp options I also find him to be much more viable if you're willing to fork out the money for those options.
The first thing I always want to do is get out my Realmwrights and Abundant Growths. This is very very key to getting Bolas out relatively fast and finding him as well. From there it's just a matter of time if you can either keep their creatures off the board or keep them from attacking. If you can't find Bolas, you can always put down a Gisela or get an Entreat the Angels off which can certainly win you the game. Isperia can also be a good choice in those situations if you can shrug off the damage they do or if you have him and can ramp up to him fast, he becomes a very big problem for your opponent.

I want to run Nicol Bolas too but I have yet to find a deck that wins with him in it. Maybe we will now that dragon's maze is out.
