Deck discussion for cruel control

What do you think of Thundermaw Hellkite over Stormbreath Dragon? Thundermaw Hellkite clears the way and nukes all Lingering Souls tokens. Stormbreath Dragon does dodge Path to Exile and can't be blocked by Lingering Souls, but it is a little smaller. I personally prefer Thundermaw just for the extra oomph despite Path.

the thing is against another control match-up you can make him monstrous to help you to push, I have tried with thundermaw and am not sure which one I like more yet. I still need to do more play testing with it against a larger variation of decks, cause where I am most of the decks play path and I have not seen too many lingering souls as compared to path.

Thundermaw is better due to the extra power and almost for sure gonna get through!

It isn't guaranteed with the low amount of creatures they will hold their paths for it I still am debating on which one to run, my friend said just one of each, but I didn't like that.

Sideboard maybe then?

No, it ought to be one or the other. Bsically you have to weigh Path to Exile.

Just throwing it out there because I like the deck, but anything against remand? I use it in control deck I run, and it's really nice to stall and draw an extra card for a turn.

why not terminate over smother?

This deck looks painfully annoying! I do agree with Jared above- smother needs to duck out. I understand the importance of having a colorless mana in a tri deck, though, so I'd say you would enjoy go for the throat more.

I like smother, and was thinking terminate over it, sometimes I don't have both colors available, and it gets a little crimped to pro from any of the colors, I like smother for killing goyf, manlands, one I get on a computer again Ima change it

May I suggest Terminate and/or Desfigure?
I would recommend Diabolic Edict if you don't mind that's not legal in Modern.
Having something like "target player draws a card'' would be good too because if you target yourself you get card advantage and if you target you're enemy you could like make with that and stormbreath dragon and liliana of the veil.
Nice deck, btw.

I find Sowing Salt sb quite interesting, haven't seen it in Modern so far.
I can imagine removing 4 copies of a dual land in a deck that relies heavily on those will have a strong impact. Also you get to look at your opponent's hand and library which is huge.

How about Dismember instead of Sudden Death? It is not necessary to have 2B open for it and it is a bit stronger.

I know but I like how it prevents combat tricks, and sowing salt is so nice against america, another grixis, and especially tron
