Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (4 cards)

Enchantments (4)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

How to Play

This is a pure control deck. Lock down the early game with 2 cmc counters. When you can throw down geists, do so. Turn 4 throw down Talrand and begin your quest for a Drake army. Disciple of the Ring is very important as a late game piece. Exile your burnt counters to counter again or you can tap down important pieces of your opponent's. I recently added 3 imprisoned in the moon as removal. I got caught up with a creature I couldn't counter because the opponent's ran me dry ( I was in a 3 player FFA and yea I won :D). So only use imprisoned if you get stuck

Deck discussion for Disciple of Control

Nice build. I feel like this deck needs Learn From The Past. Draw one card and shuffle all your instants back into your library.

I definitely like the idea! I just need to figure out where to drop for curve.....

If you want to run 4, I'd suggest dropping 1 each of Mana Leak, Negate, Remove Soul and Rewind. You're hopefully going to be able to shuffle some of those back in to the mix anyhow. So say you have 2 Mana Leaks in your grave yard and then after they get shuffled back in, you draw them twice more. The beauty of shuffling them back in is that you don't always need a full set to lots of mileage out of them.

That's certainly a valid though but do you think it will mean to many 4 CMC cards in the deck?

Could be. I don't pretend to be a pro when it comes to things like mana curve and what not. The only thing I can suggest is test running it and see how it works for you. Touching on my previous comment, the same holds true for this card itself. You don't even really need four Learn From The Past them because you'll be shuffling it back into your library as well. Food for thought! Let me know if it works out for you! Cheers!
