Main Deck (61 cards)

Sideboard (15 cards)

Enchantments (2)

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

This deck is an experiment in what can happen when you make a deck that's actually 2 deck's in 1.

Make your sideboard something that you can use to change the way your entire deck plays. Not just to help out in certain areas, but to change the type of deck completely.

In this case- I'd like to start out with basically a haunted tokens deck and second game, switch to a complete lock-down deck. I realize this may leave me vulnerable to a lot of different things, but I think with the surprise factor it could just be crazy enough to win. Hopefully, it will leave the opponent wondering what the hell they should side in between every match.

This is basically using the same cards from my last deck with some important additions...

Let me know what you think!

Interesting idea. I wonder if it will actually play like 2 different decks though. ANd are there enough creaturs in your main?

I don't know yet. I haven't had a chance to experiment with it yet. And I think there will be enough creatures with all the tokens this will be pumping out. If not, I'll just side some in.

I know for a fact you can design a deck to play like 2 different decks with the SB. My buddy has a crazy deck that uses Wish cards to change his deck MID-GAME depending on the situation...granted this is Legacy, and so there's obviously more 'stuff' to use, but even so a 2-in-1 is perfectly possible.

I can also say I really like the use of Shrine in here. I've seen first hand, both playing with and against that card that it is often greatly underestimated =]

I know all about playing against the shrine. It's one of those cards you will let come out and stay out because it's not an immediate threat. But once you let a couple turns go by and a bunch of cheap white spells are cast, it's basically game over in the next turn or 2 unless they have doj or ratchet bomb handy. Also, with both intangible virtue and honor of the pure in there, those are some NASTY tokens.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out.

One of my favorite decks of all time was a 2 decks in one deck.

The 1st deck was a heavy artifact B/U control mill deck with no creatures.
The sideboard was all creatures. If I remember right this type of deck is called a transformational deck.

The basic idea was in the second game the opponent would likely side in artifact removal but you've sideout all the artifacts and put in creatures and the opponent probably has sided out all creature kill.
Thus in the second game you should have lots of virtural card advantage as the artifact removal of the opponent is useless and your creatures also should do well because the opponent is likely to be light
creature removal.

It's nice to know that it's not that crazy an idea then. And I hope it works how I want it to.

It should be fun, if nothing else.

Thanks for the comments! I think it will work, but I am a little concerned about the low creature count in main. I was thinking about adding in someone else, but it's hard to say who...

Geist honored monk? Too expensive?
Accorder paladin? Too frail?

I guess I need ideas on creatures that aren't necessarily pro-token, but will fit well beside a bunch of tokens.

Thanks everyone!

Geist honored monk could be a heavy hitter with all those tokens. It is a little expensive though for a deck with no ramp...

and accorder paladin could be awesome with a big token army behind him. put him out the same turn you pop the shrine. of course then you'll probably get swept. but you can re-populate faster than most decks.

Signal pest would be a killer, he combos well with the shrine.

LAWL! I just made a dobuble deck too. Mine primarily focuses around landfall abilities, but it can also work as life gain, and if you get extremely lucky, it can work as an aggro (especially if you sideboard in some better green guys) I would love to find out exactly which decks you have put in with yours :)

Good idea thinking outside the box. I'm going to have to come up with my own concept deck from this type of idea.

Hahaha, cool idea. In fact, i used to have an affinity deck that changes into an Ironworks using the sideboard. Second match was always so confusing for my opponents.

I love smokescreens! Playing one deck then siding into something completely different. It almost always nullifies the opponents side.

Cool deck, I tried applying this idea to a zombie deck. Check it out if you want.

I think signal pest could be swapped out for honor of the pure. buffs all your dudes regardless of whether they attack or not, and really helps your sb too

I like honor a lot. I did have those in here, but I swapped it out for something... Signal pest was just another body, but also a body that could block an early mirran crusader w/ sowap attached. I've lost to that combo too many times with mono white decks. I probably WOULD run the honors though because they put my fiend hunters just out of incinerate range...

Anyway. This deck was fun, but I'm working on something new now...
