Very nice. I like the idea of Birthing pod, lets you spread out your monsters giving you more options, and not have to worry about not drawing what you need. Very cool. I'm not very partial to Frost TItan myself, I'd go with Grave Titan. And, if grave Titan dies, mimic vat it and produce 4 zombies and a 6/6 haste death touch for 3 mana per turn

Thanks. It's getting a face-lift though. It's a relatively fragile setup. Last night I got beat up by everything from mirran crusaders to solar flare, to a weird variation on delver... The mana base was tricky. I could get out a ton of land early on, but it didn't always stop making land when I wanted it to. I ended up drawing into way too many lands when I was trying to get creatures out.

New plans are starting to form though. Stay tuned.

It's even more updated now. I don't know if this combo deck will work... Does it have too much going on? Or can you really have too many win conditions in 1 deck? I need to try it out against a bunch of decks.

Is anyone doing wolf run+pod+mimic vat+heartless summoning?

You really think this deck could work? it seems a bit busy. or maybe it's just very nasty. the hand draws seem pretty legit tho.

also you could probably go down to 60 by dropping a land. you wont need that many with the ramp in this deck.

I'm personally not a huge fan of pod. It has a tendency to be weak against early game burn, killing your pod targets and just outright destroying the pod. Very tricky decks to build, in my opinion. But well built pod decks are insane against everything that just ignores what the other player is doing.

I really love your ramp up from morkrut banshee -> massacre wurm -> sheoldred. That alone should be enough to destroy the opponent's field and win you the game. But it looks to me that you are loading up on high cmc creatures. Wouldn't you want to be able to start off the pod more than having the firepower to blast someone when you finally have the mana? Birds of paradise seem to be a great first turn drop to get a pod deck started. Even more when you have that many colors in your deck.

I had birds in there, but I figured with the addition of heartless summoning I wouldn't be able to use them for very long before they get sac'd and it would really suck to draw into them later on in the game. I changed up a lot of things after last weeks fnm because the original deck had too many mana dorks. Once they died to gut shots or doj or slagstorm, I was left with half my mana base. I think the local meta is too painful for birds, but I'll be running different variations on this deck over the next week against as many different decks as I can. Birds may make another appearance.....

Also. The beautiful thing about heartless AND pod is that I can start the ladder with a 4 mana creature on turn 3... Solemn/Obliterator (depending on what I need at that moment, because I'd hate to sac an obliterator). Then turn 4, unless they have an answer, I'm bringing out a titan. There are plenty of answers to this deck, I realize (witchbane orb...). But I think it has enough answers to enough things to keep me in the game until I start dropping the 6 and 7 bombs. The perilous myr+glissa+heartless infinite shock combo fits nicely here, also. Talk about machine-gunning down the 2/2's. See ya, mirran crusader.

Thanks for the comments people. Keep them coming, and I'll keep transforming this deck into something playable.

Correction - I got the wrong orb. It's the torpor orb that's the winner here. Not witchbane.

There are too many different cards for me to get a feel for how the deck is supposed to run, I haven't ever run a deck like this, so I ran a few test hands and the three that I did draw were good. I think if you know how to play this type of deck well then you might be able to put quite a few wins under your belt.

I smell trouble if your opponent lands a Grafdigger's Cage. You might want to SB a little more than Viridian Corrupter and Sylvok Replica against it... *ahem* Naturalize...

Very nice deck idea I never would have thought to throw so many different deck ideas together
though skoogle is right a naturalize side board wouldn't hurt
