Deck Description

The ebb and flow. The rise and fall. The surge and dispersion.
This is mana.

And now, harness the raw power of mana to achieve a win like no other. Most people use mana as a means to a win, but with this deck mana IS your win! Helix Pinnacle, a lodestone for mana, collects your energy turn after turn. Once it reaches 100, it releases its stored power, giving you the win!

In order to craft your mana-based success, this deck is filled with cards that are eager to add mana to your growing Pinnacle. Some even lend more power depending on your battlefield! Elvish Archdruid, Axebane Guardian, Overgrown Battlement, and Cloudpost are all key to your mana ramp, as they add more and more mana for each of their conditions.

Assemble your ramps, and unleash the true power of mana upon your unsuspecting opponents!

How to Play

Get out your ramp as fast as possible, then start storing your energy in Helix Pinnacle. Get it to 100, and you win!

Deck discussion for Spiraling Mana

Cloudpost won't get you too far without glimmerpost. Vesuva could help there too. You only need a few forests out at any given time anyways. I'd suggest That Which was Taken, too, if it weren't for Shroud.

Cloudpost, assuming all are out, can nab me four apiece. The only reason glimmerpost isn't included is that it gives life not mana. I'll consider it. Vesuva is a great suggestion! I totally forgot about it! Thanks!

Yea, shroud kinda makes That Which Was Taken Useless...I don't think I need to worry about my Pinnacle being destroyed either way.

Austere command, fracturing gust, magus of the disk, nevinyrral's disk...shroud won't keep ya safe from any of them ;-)

Glimmerpost gives life, but it is a locus; it increases the amount of mana cloudpost gives as well.

All in all though, this is definitely one of the better Helix Pinnacle decks I've seen. Price tag on it makes me want one.

Your comment on things that destroy my Pinnacle is true, but Personally, I don't know anyone who has use of them (not to say there isn't anyone out theres who does). Glad you enjoyed my deck! I really appreciate the feedback!

I know - I wouldn't be too worried about it. The only way to really do anything about it is to go multi colored anyways, and that would really take away from the rest of what your deck has going for it. Keep building awesome decks and describing em Billy Mays style!

Fun idea, but in legacy this deck would be eaten alive. If you doing something in legacy... do it by turn three. If this deck is suppose to be a fun "casual deck", then please accept my sincere appology. In general, the deck lacks board control is at the mercy of single spells being cast that would destroy everything your working soo hard to do! Ex. engineer explosives, hybernation, or a single warth of God... its back to square one. Even tranquility (a thirty cent common) would put an end to your Helix. What this deck needs is an infinite combo in order to win on the next turns' upkeep. Have you seen the three piece combo of 1)magnus of the candleabra; 2)heart beat of spring; and 3) "freed from the real" (a blue card)? Its a combo that can be done on turn two if your lucky with mana (or moxes)... also adding blue would give you counters, stiffles, and bounce which would help keep your helix alive. Great idea and good luck!

It is! To win by doing nothing more than adding mana is quite satisfying, to me at least.

if you put in crab umbra, axebane guardian has an infinite mana combo =p provided you have him and 3 other defenders out, same thing for umbra mantle and any elf or defender that produces more than 3 mana =p And just for the hell of it you should just throw in something like primordial hydra or exsanguinate for the out of nowhere win =]

I like the way you think! However, I was trying to keep it mono green. Maybe in the future I will branch out into more colors with this same idea.

haha I gotcha, well Emrakul is always fun to have when you have a surplus of mana as well, either way =p

How about Omnath, Locus of Mana ? A few Overgrowth could do nicely in here as well.
Overall a very cool deck!
