Deck Description

Just a deck somewhat based around sun titan. but turned into a mill deck. works fairly well I would say. :)

Comments would be much appreciated. Thanks. :)
I don't know if I like Turn to Frog or Ovinize better. the frog can still do damage, which means I can use it to mill... but the Ovinize can't actually kill anything of mine. plus... I don't have Ovinize.

Deck discussion for mish-mash

Okay! Great first one to look at. Keeping with the blue white milling theme, I would recommend adding in the big old baddie, mister Riddle Keeper. Also, Hedron Crab is another MUST. Super cheap and effective. Now, with this said. I would ask you an interesting question. Do you have any thoughts on making this a personal mill deck, using laboratory maniac? The reason why I say it, is because Sun Titan has GREAT synergy with a personal mill. you can dump all sorts of stuff into your graveyard, and then pull them back out with him. something to think about!

In general, you will find that having 2 of this, 2 of that, 2 of that, 2 of this.. is good, and can present options, but I would start recommending cutting down the cards and getting 3 or 4 of the ones you really like. Jace's Erasure should be on that list. The more you have of the card you like, the more chances you have to get it!

Ok, That makes sense. I like the erasures, I could probably drop, or at least sideboard, the adepts. oh, I do havve one crab in here right now, in place of the curse. really like oth of those...

As for the self mill, I had thought about it a little bit, but not much. the maniac was something that I could pull with the titans, so I wasn't sure about it. Definately will look at it more now though. :)
thanks

Hi Kazzong,

You asked my to look at your decks. While I'm not an expert at Standard I am more of a Legacy guy.
Here's what I see. One your mana casting cost is a little high. 93mana/40 spells = 2.3 average mana per spell. I try to keep my decks to under 2 average mana unless I have a special way to cast higher casting cost spells.

Recommend cutting 2 Belltower Sphinx and increasing Hedron Crab to 3. Your not running any spells or creatures to redirect damage to Belltower anyway.

In reality this deck doesn't have enough focus and it is not running the power cards of Standard U/W
just off the top of my head I would change

mana leak instead of negate
spell pierce instead of turn to frog
day of judgment instead of divine reckoning
there must be some thing better than vivisection if nothing comes to mind put in Lingering Souls seem everyone else is in U/W ;-))

That's a start. Maybe I'll post a standard U/W mill later. My Legacy U/W mills tend to be 1st turn combo decks. The problem with U/W Standard mill is that it no longer has cards like Traumatize and Jace, the Mind Sculpter. B/U decks might make better mill decks in Standard right now.

cool, thanks for the input. I really appreciate getting a bunch of different views on things. It helps me to figure out the different things that I could do with my decks.
As for the vivisection, it is iin here because I actually like the sac that it takes, because I can bring back almost anything with the titans, and it triggers the selhoff occultists. But, if there was anything that did it for cheaper, I would be all over it.
