Deck Description

Here is my Scapeshift deck, I don't play it that much so suggestions are greatly appreciated.

How to Play

The main combo is scapeshift plus at least 8 lands then grab 6 mountains/shocklands and 2 Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle for a total of 36 damage. It gets increasingly more powerful with more land. The alternative combo is to get Primeval Titan and grab mountians/Valakut to win. Prismatic Omen greatly speeds up the combo by making Valakut a mountain, meaning it only takes six land.

Deck discussion for Scapeshift

I've got a similar deck on here too, feel free to take a look and see if you want to make changes, that's probably the best advice I can give about scapeshift because the 75 are so tight!

Thanks, I think I will try more lightning bolts main board. I'm tempted to play Creeping corrosion, but I think it is too slow for the Robots deck I find my self playing against. Also I'm going add dispel to the sideboard to help against Splintertwin, and the more reactive decks.

Have you thought about Amulet of Vigor so your lands can enter untapped allowing you to actively cast things as you scapeshift? For instance, cast scapeshift, float whatever mana you have to in response to the sacrifice, grab a bunch of duals and valakut, all the U/R duals enter untapped so you can cast peer through the depths to try to find another scapeshift or something else to find more mountains, or just some burn spells to finish them off. So on and so forth.

You only cast the scapeshift if you win, it's a 'End it NOW' card

Yeah, I have won every game it has resolved, so even though that is a fun interaction, I don't think it really improves the deck enough.

I use breeding pool and other lands that cost life because I can use them the turn they are played, and theey provide me with two colors of mana. That being said, often times in magic speed is more important than life, so I chose these lands.

I hope this helps! Im glad you are trying out magic, it's tons of fun!
