Deck Description

Think about it. A reanimator won a grand prix today. and think about how many decks constantly use flashback... what if you just always used rest in peace? not just used it, but used it offensively? this deck uses mill with rest in peace (psychic spiral just whimpered in pain) to win just about any control or reanimator match up. now it may have trouble against aggro, if you have suggestions to help with that i'd be glad to take them.

This deck is a core control deck with mill, misthollow griffin, and rest in peace. I think this deck could make a serious impact on standard, so i kind of want as many people as possible to see it. On that note, i sent the decklist to sam black, maybe he'll take a look at it.

how does generic esper control deal with that? i'm not familiar enough with control decks. i could keep it as one of those if i don't know my match up and sideboard in all the exile stuff to turn it into this deck against anyone who uses the graveyard at all. i guess terminus might help... but that wouldn't help me mill, so i would sideboard that out if i was running exile.

Blind obedience for aggro decks. I run a lot of aggro and that ALWAYS fucks my shit right up lol. Also detention spheres defiantly help.

Definitely Blind obedience, but I LOVE the idea behind this deck... better yet I have almost all the cards for it, so I might give it a go.....

hmm for late game and since you have some enchantments, maybe run sphere of safety? stops horde decks cold:)

I would add in a discard factor to limit the number of cards in your opponents hand. I think that would make this deck pretty solid contender against some forms of aggro/control. Possibly Duress or Mind Rot; something of that nature, heck maybe even Nightveil Spector. All in all though great deck concept, keep up the good work.

i definitely considered duress, and (even though i know it's not actually competetive) i considered soul ransom because i love that card.

Another possibility is Desecration Demon. Which would force your opponent to sack off any creatures they do manage to get out inorder to prevent damage.

Instead of Essence Scatter and Negate you should probably just run Dissipate/Syncopate. I'm not a big fan of Mind Grind just cause there are better ways to mill imo. Rest in Peace maindecked just makes sure they have no graveyard to tap into which depending on who you are facing can really hurt your game but other than that I feel something better can go into that slot. It's a good idea though and still pretty competetive.

actually instead of dissipate i think i may run psychic strike. the idea is to always have RIP down, so the exile part of those two is just kind of not necessary. but the psychic strike would help me to mill as well. might put in syncopate too. thanks for the feedback!

In legacy you can use leyline of singularity to stall most creature-decks.
Use karakas with it to stall them even more :D
