Deck Description

This deck is a homage to my friend's Aurelia Exalted deck.

I also chose to make it budget ... because who doesn't want Aurelia?

Oh, and the title insinuates that Aurelia just broke up with Gideon. She must be pissed.

Finally, the tags mean the following:
Aurelia + Exalted + Budget = Win

Honorable Mentions:

Jessie - suggested Cloudshift, which is friggin amazing with Aurelia.

How to Play

A simple 3 step process:

1. Drop exalted creatures.
2. Attack with a creature.
3. Burn Blocker.

If Aurelia is out, please note that exalt triggers twice. And it stacks. So if you attack with her twice, she will do 3 × # of permanents with exalt + 3 (her power) damage to whatever is unlucky enough to be in the way. Oh, and that's if you didn't put Double Cleave on her.

Deck discussion for Budget: Aurelia's Break-Up

Too bad Hero of Bladehold is so expensive. It would be brutal with Aurelia.

Cloudshift. Want to piss some people off? Use Aurelia/Cloudshift. She attacks for the "first time" and then Cloudshift her, when she comes back into play she attacks again for her "first time." I am pretty sure of that. So, what is that, like 4 combat phases for 1 mana? I could be wrong, and making that up. But I think it works like that.

Oh crap ... THAT'S BRUTAL. It could take out 4 players one turn. Especially if she keeps her counters when she leaves the battlefield.

Could you check on that?

Sometimes I get liked comments from suggesting cards. :) NEVER get them from telling people rules. I am awful at rules/regulations. SO, honestly not sure.

But I am about 95 percent sure you do not get to keep the counters. When Aurelia comes back from being exiled, it is like she is a brand new creature that has never seen play/received counters.

Still, Cloudshift should be considered.

Good luck!

Nonsense ... she's like a brand new creature ready to receive a boatload more counters!

Oh ... and she only attacks thrice ... her second attack triggers her third when cloudshift is used.

Ahem ... I stipulate that the correct terminology is "rules-lawyer".

.... bathe in the irony of that statement for a second.

Will sleep on it!

And besides not running something like Disenchant, this deck is very solid.

Here is to wishing you get more votes on this deck!

id suggest sublime archangel but its not budget I think they are about $7.50 a piece I would probably drop blaze commando for it.
I would use sigiled paladin over aven squire because it has 1st strike and that makes it very nasty early game with exalted

Yep, i got back into magic last year...and a new player, whom was willing to trade cards with me wanted two cards of mine (that I had extra of)
1) Lightning Bolt
2) Counterspell

I let him have about 9 Lightning Bolts...not knowing they were so valued! He traded me some store credit for a online Magic Shop.

I had no idea they were so valued!! I can see Chain Lightning being expensive...but i thought the Bolts were a dime a dozen!
