Burn everything. Chandra can whack someone for 15 damage if she uses her ultimate and chooses a lava axe or fated conflagration; Virtually every creature dead if cone of flame is the target of her ult. That should be a win right there.The only reason the crappy lava axe is not completely replaced by the incredibly superior cone of flame is for the pure lulz of actually killing an opponent with it. Sadly, Cone of flame can't target the same player with all 3 of it's burns. (:Circle of flames can make your opponent pay for attackers you can't scorch to death. Combine with electrickery and you have a whole lot of hurt.Unfortunately, you might be topdecking a ton. Wheel of fortune is my non-standard answer. Act on impulse kind of sucks, but use it if you got it, and hope for an upgrade as good as cone of flame is to lava axe.

Shoot, thanks man!Alright, enough with the lightning bolt suggestions. Everyone KNOWS it is the king of burn spells. =). But it is rarely used ... think of it like Planewalkers. A Planeswalker is superior to virtually all other cards, but that doesn't mean that I am going to run around to every control deck and suggest Jace, The Mind Sculptor.

I am magical =).Seriously, there are 2 reasons; The m15 Chandra has yet to increase in price, and the vault doesn't charge for mountains.
Do you remember the days where putting a single chandra into a deck would put that deck up $35?
Yes ... I think she's so cheap because the set she was released in has NO burn spells.

Why did they ever print lava axe if cone of flames existed? Lava axe is a monumentally bad card. Even Fated Conflagration is arguably better at 4 CMC.
Yeah, Lava Axe is pretty average.
At least Cone of Flame shows that they have recognized that lava axe was underpowered. If only lava axe could target a creature, I would pay 6 CMC for it.
With Cone of Flame can you target the same target all 3 times?
Sadly, no. Nice catch there. So that's NOT 6 damage to target creature or player, because you have to split it up. I'll change the description.
