Deck Description

When I started playing magic, i was a very defensive player. I tried to protect myself as much as i could. I bought alot of defender cards, I always lost against my friends. They said take out the defender cards, they are useless. I always wanted to make a defender deck that could work but never could, you can't do damage.

Now since they made Assault Formation, it is possible, i did some test hands and it works.

The Sideboard is cards that i am thinking about putting in or that could work with the deck or control cards.

By the way, this deck is made to be fun, casual, play it with your friends and watch your friends faces when you swing with a 0/17 defender that has trample and/or deathtouch and/or vigilance, doing 17 DAMAGE. (Tree of Redemption+Selesnya Charm+Brave the Sands+Bow of Nylea+Assault Formation)

How to Play

Get Assault Formation on the field or fetch for it with Idyllic Tutor.

Put some 1 cost 0/4 or 2 cost 0/5 or 0/6 or 4 cost 0/13 on the field.

Do massive amount of damage with your defenders or if you don't have the right cards stall with your life gain and block with walls.

Why these cards...

Tree of Redemption - it has the most toughness for any defender 0/13, you can gain huge amounts of life than swap with the tree which would make him 0/30 or so, it is possible to swing for 30+ damage with this tree.

Spirit Link - Enchant your opponent creature so they do no damage to you or on one of your creatures to gain alot life.

Brave the Sands - You can still block with your walls if you attack and block more creatures (for token decks).

Bow of Nylea - Boost your creatures, gain life, make your attacking walls more dangerous.

Selesnya Charm - For trample and a bit of creature removal.
