I've always loved the Spirit Cycles. From the Maros to the Myojins, I have to say that Cycles have always sorta been my thing in Magic. I've built an EDH deck around the bringers of the dawn and a bunch of Elementals, but I never figured out how to best include the Myojins in a deck. And then it hit me. See, Body Double comes into play for 5 mana. From your hand. It comes into play as a copy of a card in your graveyard. IE: A Myojin. Thus, it gets a divinity counter. Then, I thought to myself: How do I get a Myojin in my graveyard? Obviously, I'll need to tutor it into my graveyard. Buried Alive was my first choice, but I decided to keep this deck modern. Jarad's Orders turned out to be perfect - Not only did it get Life's Web into my graveyard, it also put a Body Double or a Worldspine Wurm into my hand! Then, the issue came up: What if I already have a myojin in my hand? I hafta be able to discard it, don't I? And so Lotleth Troll was added. A few Visionaries to keep your cards up until you can pull off Seeing Winds, a few Rampant Growths and Sakura-Tribe Elders for land ramp... That Which Was Taken for additional divinity counters - It can be a 4-mana board wipe every turn if you want! And you've probably noticed the weird little combo in there: Death Denied and Archaeomancer. Cast Archaeomancer. Get him killed. Cast Death Denied and return him (+ others) to your hand. Re-cast him to return Death Denied at will. Suddenly, recursion! And, Prophet of Kruphix is just broken in general. Two body doubles in one turn? Yes, please. //Even so, suggestions are more than welcome.
The very nature of this deck renders it unpredictable, but the first myojin you'll want is almost always either Cleansing Fire or Life's Web. I'll go over the Life's Web method into Worldspine Wurm on turn 4. Turn 1: ForestTurn 2: Swamp and Rampant Growth/Sakura-Tribe Elder for an IslandTurn 3: Land and Jarad's Orders to put Life's Web into the graveyard and Worldspine Wurm or Body Double in your hand. Turn 4: Body Double, copying Life's Web. Remove the counter for Worldspine Wurm and (potentially) more. (Turn 5: That Which Was Taken)
